Cheaters - S01 E38

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 38

The man approached me and said his name was Eric.

He asked me to buy a bottle of Guiness for him before he would talk.

I agreed and we went to a pub nearby.

At first he proposed we went to pebbles’ pub for the discussion but I refused.

He asked why and I had
to lie about me not letting pebbles hear what ever he was about to discuss and made him to promise which he humbly did.

Mr.Eric was an old huge figure who seemed to be in his late fifties because he carried gray hair on his head which could also be found in his mustache.
As we sat in the pub,he ordered for his bottle of Guinness and I was surprised at the way he did it.

He just raised a finger to the bar man and it was brought to him.

I thought it was a normal routine so I did same,but to my surprise,a waiter came standing beside me and asked what he should offer me.
I need a bottle of fine guiness “,I responded.

Mr. Eric laughed.

The waiter brought me the bottle of Guinness and I grasped his hand when he turned to walk away saying,” Is he really a customer here.

His respond was affirmative and he also confessed Mr.Eric usually orders for a bottle of Guinness whenever he came to their pub.

I released his hand and asked him to attend to other customers which he did.

I asked Mr.Eric to start telling me about the boy in question but he preferred sharing with me the whole stole which I was graceful to hear.

“Your landlady called last Sunday telling me about the theft case in your house.

I asked whether her husband had heard anything about such case but she told me she didn’t bother telling her.

She brought words that Augustine her son who also stays in the house you reside complained of a boy who said saw your alleged girlfriend,Lucy coming out from his apartment.

I asked of the boy and she described him to be a boy of about thirteen who attends school at Presby JHS.

He is dark in complexion but she neither gave a name nor his form.

I then told your landady not to worry.

I would sermon other elderly men in the neighbourhood and discuss the issue at length.

We would call her the next day which was on Monday.

I thanked her very much for giving me such accord,and i promised to solve the issue with the other elderly men and I strongly warned that
she should not cause any scene which could complicate the issue at hand.

What I feared is what she just did…
