Emilia was still in deep thoughts when the warden came to inform her that she had a visitor,she wondered who it would be,because she knew her parents were restricted. Immediately she got to the visiting room. A lot of media people with video camera were waiting to interview her,she waa embarassed and wanted to go back but she didn’t want to disappoint them,so they interviewed her on air.

Media personnel: Please we heard you are Mrs.Emilia Eze and you murdered your husband during your honeymoon at one beach in Victoria Island.

Emilia: (Lowly) I don’t want to talk about this,all i know i didn’t murder my husband; Ebuka only God knows the truth (she started crying).

Media personnel: I’m sorry ma,but what proof do you have for that.

Emilia: (she shook her head and said) How will a woman in her right senses murder her husband during their honeymoon,i don’t need psychiatric evaluation or do i? I didn’t murder my husband.

Media personnel: But news has it that you murdered your husband to pay back,what his mother did to your father.

Emilia: Oh God,i’m tired,let me go back to my cell.

Media personnel: Okay,this is all the suspect has to say,i am Emerald Emefiele,NTA Lagos reporting.

(They left Emilia,who retired back to her cell room).

The next day was supposed to be the day set aside to check the result of the finger-print. The scientists were trying to scan the fingerprint and track the murderer but their efforts proved abortive. The murderer was very smart to have put the bullet into the gun without the use of his natural hands or perhaps he used mechanical means. As the lab scientists were still trying possible ways to track the murderer,Barrister Ebere entered the laboratory. She was eager to find out the result of the finger-print analysis even before the day set aside for it.

Barr.Ebere: I’m Barrister Ebere,the mother of the deceased Ebuka Eze.

Lab scientist 1: Okay ma,Good evening.

Lab scientist 2: Good evening ma.

Barr.Ebere: Good evening,so i came to check the result of the finger-print analysis.

Lab scientist 2: Oh,okay,it is not out.

Lab scientist 1: The murderer was smart enough to avoid using his bare-hand,so we couldn’t scan it.

Barr.Ebere: Ha! Ha! (she shouted) So does that mean that you can’t produce the murderer.

Lab scientist 1: Scientifically yes,ma please we don’t usually allow visitors to enter here when we’re working.I advice you to go home and wait till tomorrow. Maybe we might be able to scan the finger print.

Barr.Ebere: No i won’t go,that apart i came to strike a deal with you guys.

Lab scientist 2: What deal?
