Fire God Of The Fire Island - Season 1 - Episode 52

☆☆
The Burning of Forbidden Flames
Laura was feeling edgy, unnerved even. Something just wasn’t right. Lady Kate had been on Obsidian Volcano for the entire night and day, yet there had been no impromptu meetings of the Fire Council.

That was rather unexpected as Princess Kira was the one who ordered her to complete her meditation training. Could it be that she was simply exerting her authority over her again and nothing else?

It didn’t seem right.

Laura’s suspicion for her Fire Princess only grew when she stepped into a private chamber of the Fire Temple to find Princess Kira standing there, looking as though she had every right to be within the temple, especially within a chamber that was forbidden to all but the high ranking Fire Priestess.

“Is she back yet?” it wasn’t so much a question, but a demand to know the answer.

And it was obvious who she was talking about.

R
“I apologize Princess, but Lady Kate y isn’t here at the moment”, Laura said as she glided into the chamber, her head held high with a sense of authority. Kira was in her domain now. She had no right to be here, no matter what she said. “And I..cannot let you pass.

This is the Fire Temple, reserved for Fire Priestess only. Not even you are allowed beyond this point”.

Kira looked highly displeased at her words and yet didn’t appear totally enraged like she would have in the past. Something was different about her, now that Laura thought about it. She felt..darker.

“How dare you”,
Kira suddenly stated as she lifted her chin in defiance, unfurling her sash from her shoulders in one fluid movement. “I will punish you for your insolence. Prepare for battle, peasant”.

Laura narrowed her eyes. “I have no desire to fight you, Princess”.

Kira would have none of that. “I order you to battle, fool”, she yelled at her.

“I see I have no choice”,
Laura said as she sighed, taking a step forward, elegantly holding her hand out to the side of her. “Essence of the flame-Fire Opal!”

Immediate, her Spelling Binding Circle erupted around her feet, encircling her within its fiery and protective warmth.

It was reassuring to Laura to feel the Flames lick around her legs.

“Figure you’d be fireBrand too”, Kira snorted, hardly impressed.

Not that Laura was trying to impress her, of course, “Most Fire Priestess are”, she said before she held her hands in prayer before her, closing her eyes to call upon her beloved Fire Beast. “Fires of a Celtic Moon-Flame Owl, Kotori Hakan!”

The fires flared up behind Laura, forming a beautiful flamed Owl, her wings furling protectively around Laura, engulfing a large portion of the chamber. Normally, being wrapped up in Kotori Hakan’s wings was reassuring comforting..yet, something didn’t feel right.

Peering through the flames, Laura felt a sense of fear when she watched a smirk, no, a sneer slip across Kira’s face.

“Deathly Ribbon Dance-Flame Shadows!”

Laura found herself forcibly pushed back by a power so dark, so empty that it took her breath away. That feeling..it was just like what she felt at that village where all those unfortunate souls were departed.

“T-that’s..Dark Fire”
Laura stuttered, her eyes wide with fear, a feeling of cold washing over her as she watched those dark flames encircle the fire Princess, Kira standing unaffected by them.

She felt nauseated when a realisation dawned on her. “It was you”, she whispered in disbelief before a desperate anger overwhelmed her. “You killed those Villagers! Why?”
Kira gave a cold laugh. “They were simply a step in my glorious rise of power”.

Luara could only stare at her in absolute fear. This was her Fire Princess, how could she be so wicked. There was no other way to describe what she had become.

“Why are you doing this?” she asked, trying to find someway to comprehend what she was doing. “You’re going to anger the Fire God if you-”

“I don’t care”,
Kira cut her off sharply, flickering her long hair over her shoulder in a rather casual manner. “This is her punishment for defying and humiliating me”, she explained as though it should have been obvious. “And since you are close to that usless cousin of mine, you will be the best place to start”.

Things were slowly starting to come together. She had planned something, but she never thought she would do anything so immoral.

“Is that why you ordered her to go to Obsidian?”

“So I can destroy everything she holds dear in her absence”,
Kira filled her in. “So I can separate the two of you in order to pick you off one by one. Is that what you want to know?”

“Y-you”
Laura unwilling stuttered. “You didn’t leave those huts to burn to punish me, did you?”

“That was just a minor incident. One that proved quite useful to drained you out”.

Laura swallowed thickly, her fear growing. “Why do you hate her so much?”

“That’s a very stupid question. She’s stopping me from fulfilling my own destiny”
she suddenly thrashed out her sash “Now enough. I’m through talking with you. Adark Asksook”

“K-kotori Hakan”.
