The Kiss

“I wouldn’t worry too much”, Loki said as he gently took Kate’s wrist in his hand, drawing her near him again. “You’re not going to die any time soon”.

“Loki……” Kate whispered before Loki claimed her lips.

Loki’s hands slipped from Kate’s sides to the small of her back to hold her closer, tighter against him. He then tilted his head ever so slightly, his tongue teasing the corners of her mouth before slipping inside, searching and tasting with a boldness that left Kate’s heart pounding.

All of Kate’s thought and cares disppeared in that instant. All that mattered was that Loki was kissing her and only the pleasure of his caress made her tremble. She was mildly aware when her arms moved to wrap around Loki’s neck, and Loki’s arms slipping around her, completely enveloping her in his warmth.

Slowly, they drew back simultaneously, Kate’s eyes fluttering open as they locked onto Loki’s.

Kate then realised that…………nothing happened. She had just gave into her selfish desires and kissed another and the Volcano did not retaliate in anyway. The ground neither rumbled or shook. Did it mean that her Fire God approved of this?………Or?

“Hey you! Yeah, you up there! What are you doing?”

A new and unfamiliar voice cut through the night air like a knife, causing Kate to literally spring away from Loki, she seemingly equally surprised and dazed.

“Hmm?” Loki appeared to be slightly annoyed as he gazed over the balcony railing. “Oh, it’s a Fire Guard”.

“What’s going on here?” Another voice asked, but this one very familiar.

Daring to glance over the side, Kate noted that there was approximately three Fire Guards that she wasn’t too familiar with. With Levi approaching them with a commanding stride. Laura was only a few feet behind Levi, no doubt the yelling had disturbed them as well.

“There appears to be a stranger climbling into Lady Kate’s room”, [/b]one of the guards explianed.

“A stranger?” Levi muttered. He snapped his attention upwards, his eyes widening significantly, before his eyes twitched. Kate felt herself blush again and nervously glanced at Loki.

Loki, on the other hand, waved cheerfully at Levi, not even romotely unnerved.

“Hey!” Levi yelled out in annoyance more than anger “Dammit, idoit! What are you doing?”

Loki perched himself on the railing grinning smugly like a cat. “Oh, I’m just hanging around”.

The Fire Guards that were around Levi kooked stunned, baffled and confused. “Sir?”

Levi pressed his palm to his forehead before raking it over his face in an exasperated, his eyes still twitching ever so slightly. “I’ll take care of this”, he said. “Go on, shoooo”.
The Fire Guards look uneasy, but saluted nonetheless. “Ah, yes sir!” they said before quickly marching away.
Loki watched them leave for a moment before turning back to kate, who had backed away from the balcony in embarrassment. Kate must have looked as nervously and shy as she felt Loki smiled gently at her. He slowly lifted his hand and gently caressed Kate’s cheek in a loving way. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Ok?”

Kate found herself lean into his palm. “Yeah…….”

“Good night”.

“…………..Night”.

Although reluctantly, Loki pulled his hands away before abruptly turning and vaulting over the balcony, landing in a crouched position on the ground below. He striaghtened himself, placing his hands in his hips as he smiled mischievously at Levi.

Levi gave him a dirty look. “This is not keeping low profile, you idiot”.

Loki suddenly pulled the lower lid of his eye and poked his tongue out at Levi. “You’re no fun, Old Man”.

“Old Man?” This time Levi seethed and immediately gave chase when Loki turned on his heel and ran, laughing all the way. “Get back here idiot!”
Laura, who had remained silent through the whole thing, watched them leave before tilting her head back looking up at Kate’s balcony. “Lady Kate!” she said looking mildly surprised by what happened. Then, slowly, a smile appeared on her lips. “I am terribly sorry for disturbing you”.

Having watched Loki until he was out of sight, Kate turned to gaze down at Laura, mildly aware that she must have a rather dreamy look on her face.

Not that she cared who saw her at this moment.

The way her heart was fluttering made her feel rather…………giddy.

“Hmm, it’s alright”, Kate said as she smiled down at Laura. “Goodnight, Laura”.

“Good night, Lady Kate”.

Kate has defeated Kira in their fight, with the help from the unknown Fire Dragon . But what they didn’t know is that kate has awaken the evil anicent Dark Fire that has been forgotten thousands of years ago in Kira’s body. What will Kira do to the people of the island? Will Kira have her sweet revenge on Kate and Laura when she wakes up?. Well, you have to fiind out in the next chapter of this story.
