Fire God Of The Fire Island - Season 1 - Episode 34

☆☆
“Fire Along the Sky set the Darkness on Fire- Hail Lava, Ashkenaz Oboth!”

The Chamber was bathed in a bright, fiery glow. The light was intense, and yet there was this sense of security as well. It was also familiar. She had felt this warmth before, yet could not remember when. No, she hadn’t experience this type of warmth in life, but her dreams.

Lava.

It reminded her of the golden glow of liquid Lava she had been seeing in her dreams for the last few nights.

Out of the flames, a pair of eyes could be seen. They were fierce, piercing and intense. And yet they didn’t frighten Kate. The heavy gaze felt familiar to her as well. They drew her in, touched her very soul.

The flames grew in intensity and they began to mould with a form, long and serpent like. Sharp claws, long talons slip from the flames and reach the floor in a heavy crushing sound. It’s body was gold and red, with a tinge of blue shimmering along it’s elongated body.

It was beautiful and mesmerising.

The Dragon was regal, holding his head high above in the ground, high roofed Chamber. It claws where held in front, talons glinting in the fire’s light. It stood tall, on its hind legs, it’s long body curled several times around the Chamber.

Kira’s Fire Beast was nowhere to be seen, the Beast was no match for the majestic Dragon. But where had the Dragon came from?

That voice…she heard a voice call upon the Dragon’s form moments before it appeared. But..it couldn’t be.

Kate had her arms around Laura’s waist, the taller Priestess having her arms around her shoulders in sense of protectiveness, and yet Laura was staring up in complete awe.

“Lady Kate!!” Elder Fudo managed to yell over, the roar of the flames. “Did you just call upon a Fire Dragon?”

“How is that possible?”
Another Fire Elder asked, the fiery wind making it difficult to hear them over the noise. “Who called upon this Fire Beast?”
Kate couldn’t have called upon this Dragon. She couldn’t have. But where did this majestic and rare, Fire Beast come from?

“I…I don’t know”, Kate muttered softly, her cheek pressed against Laura’s bust, unable to take her gaze away from the Fire Dragon, of which seemed to be staring down at her. Staring only at her. “I don’t remember….saying anything. What….happened?”

Laura must have heard her as her attention was turned to her. “Lady Kate?” she asked her.

Kate was unable to respond, a feeling of fatigue washed over her staring into those wise eyes of the Dragon, feeling secure, safe, Kate felt her eyelid droop. The last thing she remembered in that slip second before her grey out went black was Laura’s calling her name out in alarm.

“Lady Kate!”
************

Kate was at that place again. That place on the beach, watching as the rivers of Lava stream down the side of their Volcano. Beautiful, bright and warm. And peaceful, oh-so peaceful. She liked it here, she had to admit. She felt safe and secure, and also wanted. She felt welcomed here. She had no trouble, no cares. She could just watch the Lava, feel the warmth and just drift along.

She was dreaming again. She must have fallen asleep.

“…Kate…”

Her name, someone was calling her name. It was soft, like the cracking of a light from a candle.

“…Kate…”

Kate felt ariy, dreamy. She recognised the voice, but her mind wouldn’t pin point the name in her head.

“…It’s time to wake up now Kate…”

As much as she liked it here, she knew she couldn’t stay here. The voice that was calling her, talking to her, sounded as though there was somthing important for her, waiting for her. She had to go back.

She couldn’t remember if she had anything planned for the new day. In fact, she couldn’t remember much. She didn’t remember going to bed, or what she was doing before falling asleep.

Was it anything important?

Soon, the landscape began to shift, the bright lakes of Lava fading into darkness and her vision went into pure drakness. Her body suddenly felt heavy, her head throbbing, pulsating with a headache.

And she also felt dizzy.

Squeezing her eyes shut before forcing them open. Kate was blurry and a little lob-sided. But through that blirry vision she saw a gentle face, framed by black hair. “Thank the Fire God, you’re awake!”

Kate creased her brow in confusion “Laura?”

Why was she so concerned?.

“How are you feeling?” Laura asked her as her vision slowly began to clear. “Are you in any pain?”

“No, I’m fine”.
Kate replied, her brow creasing slightly, “What happened?”

“You don’t remember?”
Laura asked, “A Fire Dragon appeared when Princess Kira tried to attack us”.
In that instant, Kate remembered everything. Kira trying to control her people’s gifts to their Fire God, her battle to oppose her, she winning aganist her, Kira going insane, Adark Askook heading towards Luara who was trying to protect her…and the Fire Dragon.

“Ah, that’s right!” Kate sprung up into a sitting position, noting for the first time that she was lying on a cot in the medical ward
