Looking over his shoulder, Loki gave a humorous and very distinctively mischievous grin before turning to face Kate again. “Well, see ya around, Kate”, he said as he gave her hand a sq££ze, winked at her playfully and then abruptly took off running.

Kate could only watch him leave in a muled sense of amusement and intrigue. “What a strange person”, she murmured to herself, a smile tugging at her lips as she subconsciously pressed the hand Loki had held against her b----t.

A light blush danced across Kate’s cheeks. He actually called me beautiful….
Unaware that she was clenching her hand against her bust, Kate wondered if she’ll meet with Loki again. But a small voice in the back of her mind told her, quite harshly may it add, to forget about him. As soon as he realized that she was the Peace Keeper he will probably try to avoid her in an attempt not to displease the Fire God.

“I need to forget about this”,
Kate told herself as she dropped her hand to hang loosely, by her side and began to walk again “It’s silly”.

But….

As hard as she might try, she could not forget about that strange man.

I’m being stupid, Kate thought to herself harshly. One litteral run in with a guy I’ve never seen before and I’m acting like a fool.

“Oh look”,
An unfamiliar voice all but sneered at her, pulling her from her thoughts. “It’s a Fire Priestess”.

Glancing up, Kate was slighty startled to realize that she had unconsciously found her way to the beach on the south side of the Island, walking dangerously close to a poor fishing village that was notorious for being a port for sea Bandits. And it was just her luck that she happened to come across a small group of unshaven bandits just as they were coming ashore.

“What’s ya doing all on your lonesome, sweetie?” a rather tall and lanky man with a red bandana around his forehead, tied off to the side asked her, an obvious leer in his voice.

Kate subconsciously took a step backwards, nervousness immediately taken residency in the pit of her stomach “Pardon?”

“Ah, I see”,
another man said in a slow drawl, he is sporting a rather large cross shaped scar on his cheek. “Since you are a Priestess, you don’t chat with the likes of us, eh?”

“Well”,
a third man said as he came up behind her suddenly. “That’s rude, ya know?”

“I’m sorry”,
Kate said rather meekly as she tried to step around the three men circling her, not looking at any of them in the eye in fear that they’ll see how scared she was becoming. “But I am in a hurry”.

“Of course you are”,
the man with the bandana said as he moved to stand in front of her.

Suddenly, the man that was behind her snared her by the upper arm and turned her around abruptly so she was facing him. “You are not going anywhere, pretty Girl”

Panic was really starting to get in now as Kate struggled with the man “Let go of me”.

Kate, however, stopped struggling when she felt something cold touch her cheek and she knew immediately that it was a small blade of some kind. Her breath hitched in her throat as a tremor of fear raced down her spine.

“What’s wrong Pretty?”
The guy with scar mockingly asked her “Why aren’t you using your Fire Magic on us?”

Kate couldn’t answer that question out of fear and tears began to string at her eyes.

“Wait…you can’t!”

One of them laughed mockingly
“I said let go of me!” Kate demanded as she ripped her arm out of the bandit’s hold and managed to stumble back a couple of steps.

“Uh ah”
one of them mocked her with a wag of his finger “We’re not finished with you”.

“Yeah”
Scar face drawled as they began to approach her again “We’re going to have some fun”

Tears began to blur Kate’s version as she found her back suddenly pressed up against a large boulder. With the three men approaching her at a slow, tormenting pace, she knew that escape was going to be difficult.

Levi? Laura? …… Someone?

“Set the Sky Ablaze- Fiery Haze!”

Suddenly, an incredible warmth flooded the area, blinding everyone with a tremendous light. The sound of crackling flames and the three startled yells of pain were immediately heard. Opening her eyes Kate saw flames snaking across the sands, dancing and crackling, circling her in a protective barrier of fire. And the three bandits, who were once so threatening, were now recoiling in pain.
Dropping to rest haphazardly to her knees, resting back on her feet and her back resting against the boulder, Kate sat dazedly, in a light state of shock.
Suddenly, a figure moved to stand in front of her. He stood tall and strong, his shoulders set back, his legs set apart ready for battle. And his hair, blue in colour, cascaded down in his back.

Blue hair?

“What a coincidence that we should bump into each other again in the same day”. The figure said as he turned slightly to gaze over his shoulder and a smile presented itself on his lips, his blue hair swaying in the heated wind created by the flames. “Huh, Beautiful?”

Kate’s eyes widen. “It’s…..”
