DESPERATE PLIGHT (Travails Of a hero ) - Season 1 - Episode 25

RICHARD’S RESIDENCE
SITTING ROOM
:
Everyone stood quiet and watch as the tension hovered around the ceiling like thick clouds.

“Tega stop this madness please,” Lucy said almost shouting. She felt she’d had t up to her neck.

Tega ignored her and shook the gun at Richard’s face, “In your next life, Mr.Richard, you will always learn to listen to instructions,” he fired and placed the nossle of the gun on his forehead.

Richard developed goose pimples as the nossle of the gun touch his forehead. He couldn’t place a hand on it as to why he felt very frightened cos the gun as he knew was his play tool, so why should he be afraid of it now.

“By the time I blow your brains out with this gun, you’ll realise that I’m not a piece of meat you chew without needing toothpick. I warned you but you decided to crawl into a shell full of thorns, too small to harbour you,” Tega said. “I will kill…”
“Shut up Tega,” Lucy shouted, cutting him short. Then she walked up to him and stood beside him, then place a hand on his shoulder and calmed a bit. “I’m sorry Tega but you should try…” Before she could finish her statement, In anger, Tega shoved her away so hard that she reeled backwards and toppled thus hitting her head on the hard tiled floor which left her bleeding seriously.

“Lucy!!!” Tega and Richard screamed in unison and rushed to her side. Tega immediately dropped the gun and carried her up.

Jane pushed her children aside gently and also ran to Lucy’s side. “Get me my car keys from the bedside table, quick,” she ordered, facing Ella.

Ella hesitated for a second, “Don’t help her mum, she’s e…”

“Shut up and do as I asked,” Jane shouted while Ella grumbled and left the sitting room in anger.

Minutes later, Lucy was rushed into Jane’s car and the car was soon speeding towards the major road, heading to the nearby hospital. While inside the car, Tega still glared at Richard with looks to kill…

MR DAVIDSON’S RESIDENCE
(BEDROOM)

Mr Davidson sat on the sofa in his room, talking over the phone. “Yes!” he said out loud. “That’s why I put you incharge of those to watch her every movement. So which hospital was she taken to?” he asked.

“The General hospital sir,” the caller replied.

“Good!” Mr Davidson exclaimed. “Just make sure you track that b---h down and get her brains blown away and scattered all over this country if possible,” he laughed.

“Yes sir! Always at your service,” the caller said and ended the call. Just then his wife walked into the room.

“Honey,” the wife called as she moved and sat on the bed with a frown on her face. “I dislike this idea of trying to kill her. Can’t you forgive, besides you caused everything,” she complained and folded her arms.

The husband simply stood up and stared at her, then without saying another word, he pushed his eye glass up and left the room quietly while the wife just stared after him, confused on what to do…

GENERAL HOSPITAL
:
Tega kept pacing to and fro the hospital. He knew if anything happened to Lucy, he would be blamed for it. So he decided to act fast, very fast. Then without saying a word to Jane and Richard who sat on the settee with their heads bent, he walked out of the hospital.

Thirty minutes later, the doctor walked in and called Richard.

Richard and Jane quickly raised their head, stood up and rushed to the doctor. “How’s she?” they both asked in unison.

“She’s good, I mean very fine but you should be more careful next time coz she’s a two weeks gone,” the doctor said.

“Pregnant?” Richard asked in shock.

“Yes!” the doctor smiled. “Anything wrong?”

“N…o..oo,” Richard stammered.

“Okay, third ward by your left,” the doctor smiled and walked past them while Richard and Jane glanced at each other and ran to the ward.

INSIDE THE WARD

Richard and Jane rushed into the ward at the same time to find Lucy lying on her back with her head bandaged. Jane moved and sat beside her and held her hand while Richard just stood and stared. He was the last person to have s-x with Lucy while still in the war camp and that automatically means that if she’s pregnant, the child belongs to him. “Oh God!” he muttered to himself as he remembered the unprotected s-x he had with her.

Just then, Tega walked in through the door with three policemen.

“Mr Richard sir,” One of the police called out. “Concerning the earlier events that happened in your house and not minding your status as the country’s hero, you are hereby requested to be brought to the station for questioning about the attempted murder of Mrs Lucy williams,” he concluded…
