“Yes, i believe so” she dried her tears.

Meanwhile, Agatha stared at a fixt point thinking about Brano. She couldn’t believe what he did. “How can he.. how can he just risk his life to save mine? God!” she thought. Just then her phone rang.

“Agatha, where have you been leaving your phone?” Mr Randy, her father asked on the phone.


“I’m sorry, Daddy”

“Your mother has been calling you”

“That’s because i wasn’t in the rightful position to answer her call”

“Why? where are you? What happened?”

“Daddy, Nath.. Nath.. has.. hum.. he has been.. shot” Agatha stammered and glanced at Cynthia.

“What?!” Mr Randy stood up. “Where is my son?!”

“Daddy, we are in Genera Hospital” the line went dead.

Few minutes latter, the doctor came out and all rushed to him except Agatha who slowly walked to him standing behind the girls.


“Doctor, how is he?” Cynthia and Joyce asked at the same time then glanced at each other before concentrating on the doctor again.


“They are both doing good” the doctor began with attractive smiles on his face. “Nearly for the bullet to get to his.. what’s his name again?”

“Nath!” the two girls responded at the same time again.


“Yes, the bullet nearly got to his heart but landed on his shoulder thereby damaging his scapula. But he will be other” the doctor explained.

“What about the other boy?” Agatha asked from behind with a low force.

“He was seriously injured, but i assure you that they both will be fine” the doctor kept smiling. An atom of hope could be derived from his smile when one is hopeless.


“Doctor, can we see them?” Miracle asked.


“Why not? But they are still unconscious”
Cynthia had already rushed in before the doctor could finish followed by others.

Nath la!d helplessly and hopeless in bed. They could see bandages round his shoulder and blood stains.

Joyce’s tears dropped again standing very close to Cynthia.
