A deep silence engulfed the whole group.

Chido was lost in thought till Cynthia walked over to him.

He started a little startled but relaxed when he saw her.

She said “u are not talking to me again?” When he didnt reply she said “am sorry, I didn’t think. I was too jealous it almost exploded in my head when I saw u kissing that girl”.

Chido replied “that girl as u call her is my girlfriend”.

Cynthia asked “then what am i?” Chido replied “a complication I should have avoided”.

Tears welled up in Cynthia’s eyes as she said “…how come u hate me so much now when we both made wonderful music some days back. What can I do to get back the guy I fell in love with”.

Chido’s mouth dried of all its saliva but he managed to ask “….and that number u came up with about being pregnant I don’t buy it”. Cynthia replied “what would I gain to lie about it.

Then she pulled out a laboratory result from one of her pockets and handed it to Chido”.

Chido didnt take the result cos he suspected what it said. Chido replied her “this is not the time or the place. Let’s finish this first. God willing if we survive we tackle this but be adviced. I am going back to Grace. I won’t cheat on her with u anymore but u and me will talk about the baby. For now just leave me be, I want to be on my own”.

Cynthia sighed as she walks away head down with tears streaming down her face.
