As he finished talking he added too “lets be on our way. We are already late”.

They left immediately to meet the drop.
On the way there Tonie called Ben to inform him that he would soon arrive in ph and would be waiting for them at the tarmac. Boneface sped off to the designated area they had agreed to meet with Essien ‘s people.

On the way he and Ben fed Chido with information about Essien and how he became capone of his group. From what Chido could piece together from all the stories he was told Essien was supposedly a very hardman, reasonable though but hard all the same.

As they arrived the meet point Chido noticed that the place was full with cuzmen who were all armed to the teeth. They received chido, Ben and Boneface rather ungracefully without making any attempt to hide the fact that they were ready to fight if provoked.

Boneface made a show of being unarmed, telling Chido and Ben to do the same which they did, that didn’t stop the hipped up armed cuzmen from searching them. They were physically disappointed when they realised that their guest were unarmed. They slowly started harassing them even as Boneface demanded they had come to see Essien.

A few minutes later Essien appeared as if from nowhere. His boys dispersed as he appeared.
He apologised profusely almost begging when he came.

Telling Ben he was so sorry about the harassment and promising to deal with his boys. He told Ben that the shot out had caused the death of 4 of his group boys and that some members in his faction were still bitter about that fact and wanted a retaliatory strike on Chido’s family.

The problem was that they were too small and not organised enough compared to Chido’s group and would be in danger of annihilation if they were to fight Chido/Ben/Boneface’s family.


Essien thought it better to make peace and use this opportunity to form an alliance with a stronger group so that if push comes to shove they would be covered in a rainy day.


Essien was also smart to realise that his family had more to gain by being in alliance with Chido’s group than against them.
