Grace spun the black jeep on top speed as if she was a stunt woman in a new James Bond movie.

As they approached Transcorp Hilton Abuja Grace looked at Chido from under her eyelids giving him a look that made him start, boiling his heart to miss a beat and in the process hardening his JT in seconds.

The feeling scared the hell outa Chido, it was obvious to him now that Grace had some queer powers over him.

Lost in thought Chido asked himself, what is happening, what powers does Grace have over me?

They were treated with respect as they arrived and where quickly ushered into one of their expensive suits.

As they got into their room, Grace bundled Chido into the bathroom, ran the bath and made him sit in the foamy hot water while she made series of quick fone calls b4 she too striped and joined him in the bath.

They both lazied in the bath talking b4 they heard a knock on their room door and Grace had to go out and answer it.

On returning she walked in with a glass of white wine, two wine glasses and a bowl of nuts. They ate, drank, talked and just generally tried to relax themselves.

They had a shower as the water slowly got cold and then migrated to the bedroom where more refreshment and some bags were waiting for them.

They were still relaxing, this time watching programmes on TV as a call came in Chido’s fone.

As Chido picked up the call, he recognized the voice of Daniel (one of the twins). After his asking how Chido was and pleasantries had been exchanged he came to the point of his call.

“The family is moving all operations for now to Abuja. Black mamba himself is heading it. He is currently in Abuja. The idea is cos of its neutrality in the incidence that transpired. He asked about ur health and wants to see u”.

Chido replied “Ok, tell him am fine but am in Transcorp Hilton”.

Daniel replied “He knows u are there. He has already spoken with Grace and he is coming there tomorrow. Just be there when he comes”.

Chido replied “Yes, I will be here”.

Daniel rang off after sometime.

Chido lay in bed Unclad by Grace’s side and after a while Grace asked him “penny 4 ur thought” and he replied “black mamba is ur cousin right” and she confirmed that.

He then asked, “how is he? I am meeting him for the first time tommorrow” and Grace replied “he is a wonderful guy. Very loyal to his friends and a mean bastard to his enemies and he knows u are my man so there is nothing to worry about”.

Chido replied “cos I heard what he did to those guys that did what they did to u two years ago. Shey, U were dating one of those guys then”.

Grace replied, “yes his name was Richard Adeore. Yes, black mamba had him tortured for days. His friends that he used to perpetrate that dastardly act are all in prison”.

Chido asked “….and what happened to him”.

Grace replied as she turned away to find a more comfortable sleeping position “He is dead, he died from his wounds……….”
