Chido was late as he hurried to the main house.

On arriving he was directed to a large dinning room which had several dishes spread on one side of a large table as if in a hotel buffet. The dishes spread on the table were eye and mouth watering, on seeing how much food was lavishly spread on the side table Chido slowly realised he was hungry.
He saw Grace to one side with a plate of salad and chicken parts talking with an older woman who could have passed for her sister.

Chido walked over to them and greeted them and Grace responded by planting a full kiss on his lips b4 she took him by hand to introduce him to the lady she was speaking to.

“Baby, come and meet my mum, the ambassador”, she said.

“Mummy”, she continued “meet Chido, my boyfriend”.

The Ambassador assessed at Chido critically as if assessing an article she was going to purchase, she smiled at Grace and said he really is handsome and tall as u said.

Then she asked Chido pointedly “do u like my daughter? Hope u are not playing with her heart like some men do?

To which Grace resisted by saying[B] “Mummy?
Chido replied “I like ur daughter ma. She is a wonderful person. She saved my life.

The ambassador smiled at that and spoke “Grace dear, could u help me collect my purse from my room”.

As Grace left she turned to Chido and said “Grace is a fragile girl. My only daughter. If u hurt her then make sure u are not found cos I will make ur life miserable anywere on this planet u are. Due to my job I have been fortunate to build contacts all over the world so it wont be hard to track u. Believe me, when i want someone found and destroyed, the person will be. So if u know u dont have any good intentions for my daughter. I suggest u let her be now”.

Chido replied her “I cant make any promise I cant keep. I can only tell u that I like Grace and would want to see where this leads with her”.

Grace came then and Chido never got to hear what the Ambassador’s retort was going to be cos he whisked him outa there in seconds after she returned.

In mins there were in one of the brand new jeeps littering her parents garage speeding down the roads of Abuja metropolis on their way to Transcorp Hilton Abuja. Grace was driving so fast that she hit Aguiyi Ironsi Street Maitama Abuja in under 30 minutes.

As they saw Transcorp Hilton Abuja on the horizon Grace looked at Chido from under her eyelid giving him a look that made his start boilng hot and his JT hardening in seconds. The feeling scared the hell outa Chido, it was now obvious to him that Grace had some queer powers over him.
Lost in thought Chido asked himself, what powers does Grace have over me?
