''Bros, I no see my result o'' I said tapping Mayson. Mayson was busy checking his result, I could see sweat dripping from his face. His finger could be seen tracing through the result sheet.
Mayson: Ooboy! Them nack me, 2 D and 3 C. Choi! Thank God o. At least I still try small.
Me: I no see one of my result for board and the lecturer say make I come see am for him office. Which kind wahala be this na. O God why?
Mayson: how manage?....... Shai! Ooh.. Is it because of that incident?
Me: I don't know o. I just hope it isn't

I could recall vividly, Angel copying my work word for word. I just prayed it wasn't has a result of that. Prof. Muhammed who took the course, was a no nonsense lecturer. He was as strict as Prof. Eze, probably even worse. I never wished to have an encounter with him. Seeing the D's and F's on the board didn't surprise me at all. I actually knew who he really was.

Me: Thompson wetin dem give you, this one wey you dey shine teeth like ram wey them dey roast.
Thompson. Oboy! Na C parallel. But prof. Muhammed nack me D. Anyhow sha thank God say no be carry over.
Me: congrats.
Thompson: thank you. Temy no worry, everywhere go good and you don see marvis?
Mayson: I never see am o. I been try call am, but his number is not going through.
Thompson: is mat number is on my phone. Let me help him check his result.

Thompson went to check Marvis result, while myself and mayson relaxed at the side of our department discussing on what plan to take next concerning my missing result. While discussing, One of our course mate called Johnbull came up to us, to ask if our result went well. Johnbull was this tall lanky dude, dark in complexion with a very big Afro hair . He was an introvert, he hardly talks in class well, probably because he stammers when he talks.

Johnbull: h-h-ho-how, u-u-u-u-na, u-u-na.....
Me: bros, I dey (I helped him complete his words)
Johnbull: May-may-may-may-son m-m-my guyyyy.
Mayson: no dey spoil my name na. My name na Mayson.
Me: afa you na (looking at Mayson with an annoying look)
Mayson: the guy dey spoil my name.
Johnbull: I-I-I-I,... Jus-Jus-jus-just, say makeI, make I, make I, whoo-whoo-holla u na.

I felt pity for Johnbull, he really finds it hard to make a fluent speech, without stammering. I prayed silently in my mind for him.

While we were still having our converstion, Thompson came over to us, bursting out laughing like a loosed mad man that had just escaped from Yabaleft

Me: afa wetin happen?

Thompson: Marvis get F parrelal. Oboy! Upon the expo wey him dey carry and all the blocking
Mayson: Mehn, na f*ck up o. Chai!
Me: abeg, I dey comot I wan go see prof. Muhammed. Johnbull later na
Johnbull: who-who-who-who bye bye, we-we-weee g-g-go-gooo- gooo seee

before Johnbull could finish his speech I was already at the door of Prof. Muhammed office. Heart beating so fast, 100 times per seconds . I was scared as well. After taking a deep breathe, I knocked on his door.

Prof. Muhammed: come in
Me: good day sir. (my two hands rested at my back, as if I was handcuffed from behind)
Prof. Muhammed: how may I help you?
Me: sir, I didn't see my result, and you instructed me specifically to come to your office sir.
Prof. Muhammed: mm. Wait what level are you in?
Me: 200 level sir
Prof. Muhammed: okay, let me get your 100 level result broadsheet.
He brought it out of his brief case, wore his huge glasses and scanned through it.
He asked me for my name and mat no. I told him. He smiled a devilish smile and for a second he looked into my eyes. Deeply. I saw myself melting like a candle wax in front of him, but I just had to compose my self. He finally broke the short silence

Prof. Muhammed: I found out a girl could Angela copied your work. What do you have to say to that.
Me: sir, I don't know wen this events occurred. I was deeply concentrating on my work sir. I'm sorry for being complacent.
Prof. Muhammed: you should thank your stars I'm in a good mood today. You students think I don't read each and every one of your papers. For your information I read everything word for word. Anyways sign here.

I took out my pen and signed, my hands were shaking. I had just lied to my professor, and he believed. I saw my result, I actually got a D. Well, at least it still better than a carry over.

I walked out of his office feeling relieved and thankful.
