After two weeks of resumption. Students began to flood into the school premises in large numbers, studies had eventually kicked start in full. I got prepared for school activities as usual, I was to have a class by 10am. I did my regular chores, took my bathe, brushed my teeth, wore a jean and a hoody. It was still very cold out, I needed to put on something to keep me warm. I wore a socks and had on my gucci slippers. In fact, I was so ready for school.
''Oh!, I never eat o'' i tot ''make I no go faint for class, because this prof. Eze's class is so long and boring, he fit teach from 10am to 4pm, the man no dey tire ''. '' wetin I go con eat now o'' I began to wonder. I was way too lazy to go into the kitchen to prepare something to eat and time had gone, I had just an hour to get to class.
If I eventually get to the class a minute late, Prof. Eze will surely drive me out. ''ohhh!'' an idea struck me. ''make I go buy burger for near supreme hotel, that Mama burger dey sweet die''. I hurriedly wore my face cap, locked my
door and headed straight to ''BURGER island''.
Thankfully and luckily I saw mama outside busy serving her customers.
Me: Mama Good morning ma.
Mama: ey, my pikin. How are you. Wait, make I serve this my customer he dey here dey wait since. (she said in crooked voice)
I looked towards the direction of the person she was referring to and lo and behold, it was one of the cultist, my hearted skipped twice.
Me: argh! ''Owain'', I greet you o. *My spelling may be wrong but Owain is used as a title to refer to someone who seniors you, probably an elder. It's an Esan language.
Bros: hey, how you dey na. Mama, na my boy be this o.
I smiled. I actually paid for what he bought. Not because I felt intimidated or scared but, Because I had enough in my pocket.

She arranged the Hot Akara inside a turned punch news paper and gave it to me. At that moment, I disected the bread like a surgeon,
and carefully placed the akara inside like a surgeon giving a girl a bre@st implant. I sq££zed it together, so that the two favours can blend. ''oh! Burger I love you so much'' I tot. ''How would I have survived without you. I will never forsake you, when I needed you the most you were right by my side. My love for you continues'' I sat down comfortably on a bench and dismantled the burger with joy.
Me: Mama this your akara sweet finish. You go teach me o one day.
Mama: My pikin, thank you.
After eating, I was ready to go to school. ''Oh, it's 9:30am, I'm almost late''........
