My phone rang out loud, I picked it up but was more than shocked when I heard the voice of Tola’s mom loudly in my ears “Hello Alex. I have not seen Tola o, is she still with you?” The phone slipped from my mind as I gazed vaguely at the curtains before me, my emotions throbbing hard. My mind was a haze of muddled questions and this was the only question that clouded the fog. “Where is Tola?”
Barging into Mitchell’s apartment in G.R.A, I shook with rage inside me as I bottled my emotions and anger, waiting for her to come out so I could descend on her. I was sure she was the one holding the woman I so much cared about in captive.When Tola’s mom had called me, I had lied to her that her daughter was still with me after which I started driving to Mitch’s apartment with an uncontrollable anger within me. Mitch had invited me to her house-warming two months ago but I had turned her down. She came to the bank and gave me her address, in case I needed her.

“My love. I will never get tired of loving you. For now, I will just wait for you but have it in mind that nobody, I repeat nobody will take you away from me” She had said confidently.

I sat inside her living room, waiting for her to come down. I did a quick survey of the room. It was a small dark room, painted with burnt orange colour scheme. There was a medium sized dented dresser, holding up a new television set and a small red lamp. There was a free standing metallic gold floor lamp with its peeling paint occupying the same space as the cream floral curtains scattered on the floor. Everything looked a mess.

“You’re an asshole, Mitch. You are a Bytch!” I spat at the lady approaching me with a glass of milk in one hand and her phone in the other hand.

“You’re a despicable heartless person.
After killing your friend just because of me, you kidnapped the only person that could fill the empty vacuum Kate’s death caused in my heart. What kind of person are..are you?”
I stuttered, too angry to be able to form any reasonable insult.

“You’re a gigantic stupid mammoth!” I clenched my fist as I watched a relaxed Mitch sipping her milk calmly.
