jack’s Pov

we turn back and started running, running for our dear lives when suddenly evelyn stood still on her spot without moving am inch ,
“come on evelyn lets get out of here” i yelled at her trying to bring her back to sanity
“jack you’re a coward!” she fired back
“what?” i manage to ask amid fear, anger and frustration
“we left home on a quest to rescue your dad and we are 50% to complete the task, why running away now? Come on jack we can do it” she tried speaking some sense into me
“am with you ,” i heard rose said and walk over to where evelyn was standing and held her hands
i turn took a look at bill who shook his head and walk up to them held them by their hands.
I took a good look at them and i started crying, i didn’t cry because i was behaving cowardly, i was crying because here were people not related to me by blood or by any way but just ordinary friends yet they where putting up their lives to make the mission of rescuing my dad a success and again they were also the ones even persuadding me not to loose faith or hope. This is what i can call true friends if am not underrating them then let me just say they’re now my brothers and sisters .

Like someone determined to accomplish a mission i just walked up to them and held their hands
“we’ll stick together and fight side by side till we all either succeed or die. ” bill intoned with tears rolling down his eyes
“yea” we all chorus as we went down to take cover
just then i saw rose making her way towards bill
rose: “bill am very sorry for my actions lately, i couldn’t forgive myself for snubbing you all this while, please fine a place in your heart and forgive me and accept me back as your love once again.”[/B]
bill: “its okay i understand and i also ask you for your forgiveness”
i watched them as they both reconciled and started wispering “i love you” to each other then a passionate mind blowing kiss followed suit. I noticed evelyn chuckling and taking a peep at me i decided to confess my love to her before it might be too late. I walk up to her , held her by her hands and took a soulful look into her eyes then i tried my mission
me: evelyn , i don’t know how to say this but i think i have to try atleast, the truth is that am… am…am…am…am”

evelyn: shhhh…i know what you want to say and i think that am also inlove with you.

i was very much touched with her words that i didn’t notice when i dived her lips and a heavy explosive kiss ensued. It was the blast from a mortal shell that brought us all back from the world of bliss back to our sanity, that was when we realised that we were in the war front and the battle was at our door step.
