Must Read: Laraba (Werewolves,Vampires, Witches)

Hilton was happy he had finally cozened Amanda into believing
otherwise, and most importantly he had just a found a vice to disrupt their
reunion. Amanda’s confession was an eye-opener to him in which was
going to make a very good use of.He peeked at Tamara who was now scampering to get prepared for their
journey. A grin come over her face as he picked up his phone and dialled a
number. Whoever he was calling, it was certain it was in no good cause.

“When I told you are dying I wasn’t joking Ryan, give it up.” Xtiana
murmured as she stared at Ryan decrepit body on the ground. Different
marks of weal adorned his jagged body with blood gushing out from his
mouth and nose.

“You are wrong.” Ryan grunted, almost in a whisper. “My son is coming to
save me. Khalid is coming.” He said, irritating Xtiana’s earlobe more.

Xtiana bent down in front of him. “Let’s see how that happens, because any
moment from now my witch arrives, you are dead.”

Ryan cast a leery look on her and looked away into outer space. Then he
mumbled; “Khalid where are you?”
Happiness engulfed Lazarus as he took straddled steps to the cave. Finally,
he had met Khalid and just soon he would be meeting his long-time friend,
Ryan. He remembered how Khalid seemed shocked on the phone earlier
when he called him. His voice was dour and it apparently lacked vitality.

He wanted to scream to his ears that indeed he had helped him find
something that would change his life forever which was obviously was his
father. He lamented his failure to stick by what he deciphered the other
time when Jamal made such statement. I came here hoping to meet something
that would change my life forever. His father was undoubtedly that ‘something’
that he envisaged to change his life forever. That wasn’t too late. If he met
him at the cave now, he would confirm to him that his father was indeed
alive and that only his blood his necessary to locate him. And after that,
Jamal would have to shed his humanity by going to save him before he
was killed by whoever captured him.
Lazarus sighted the cave from afar off and sighed. That was the same cave
Ryan was kidnapped. What could have brought his son to the cave?

Perhaps, Khalid had gone there to mourn himself out after he was
disappointed by Meshach. “Time to smile Khalid, your father is still alive.”
he thought as he pranced further.

Lazarus was about entering the cave when a fiery looking man accosted
him.

“Who are you young man?” Lazarus asked, perusing the stranger from
head to toe.

The young chap grinned, before delving a stick of cigarette from his pocket.

“Going with the information at hand, you should be Lazarus, the monk-
vampire.” He said ramming the stick into his mouth. “Well you can call me
Xavier.”

Lazarus scoffed. He was getting irritated at Xavier’s tasteless guts. “What
information and what do you want Xavier?”
Xavier ignited the stick in his mouth and inhaled deeply. “I was told you
have whoever Ryan Jericho is?” he asked. “I want him.” he said and puffed
the smoke.


Lazarus was surprised at what he just heard. For all he knew who else
could have known about Ryan being alive and also in dare need of him.

“Who are you?” he asked.

Xavier busted into a laugh. “You are not trying to compel me, are you? I
think you should ask Meshach he would explain to you better.” He said,
taking another puff from his cigarette.

The monk raised an eyebrow. So Meshach was the snitch that told him
about Ryan. He should have probably stuck more blows on the snitcher’s
chin to pluck out more teeth.

Meshach returned his inflamed stare on Xavier. “I don’t have time for this
flippancy young man. I have very important thing to do now.” He blurted
and made to move but then halted his steps. “And mind you, I don’t care
what you intend to do with Ryan Jericho but if you are thinking about hijacking Ryan from me? Trust me I wouldn’t mind submitting you head to the earth.” He warned and resumed his walking. But he hadn’t taken more than three strides when he felt a blistery pain on his back. Lazarus slumped
at the entrance of the cave.


Xavier holding the revolver with his two hands took mindful strides
towards him. He pointed the gun at the monk’s clammy face.

“Actually, I don’t plan on hijacking Ryan from you, I’m planning on how
you will take me to him yourself.” he said slyly, taking another long swig
of his cigarette and puffing it out.
