Ximena smiled mischievously and ran to her room and shut the door behind her. Splendid!

She just got a weapon, cool! And she was going to deal with Alice and Maria through it. Awesome!

She called Aylin and told her of the latest development and Aylin adviced her to use that against Alice and Maria and get Tony by her side but told her to wait for a few days to find out if Alice actually told Tony.

If Alice tells Tony, it was going to work for her. If Alice doesnt tell Tony, it was still going to work for her too.

When Ximena dropped the call, she felt both guilt and relief. Guilt because she was going to separate a woman from her true love.
And relief because she was finally going to get Tony back but it pained her that it was going to be through lies and confusion. It pained her so much, she wasnt that type of person by nature.
She wasnt one to gain happiness at the expense of other people’s happiness. She had a conscience reason why she wasnt going to carry out Aylin’s first suggestion; poisoning Alice.

As Abby strolled down the street rolling her big ecolac box behind her, she remembered she hadnt gone to see her half brother, Felix.
Gilbert had told her about him, one stubborn cute boy like that and she remembered she had seen him once and it was Maria she saw him with.
And then she remembered Maria hated Alice.
That means something, it means her her step brother wasnt safe with Maria.
She knew how dangerous Maria can be and she really hoped Maria didnt plan on hurting the little boy she was yet to see.

Even though she hadnt seen the boy, she already loved him, loved him deeply, maybe its because they had the same blood running through their veins.

Her phone rang and the caller was Maria, she sighed. Should she pick the call or not? She wondered. Then she decided to, she was going to tell her to tell Susan and the others that she was leaving Lagos. Though she didnt know where, maybe Enugu. To meet her paternal grandparents and introduce herself, Gilbert had given her the address when he told her about everything.
‘hello Maria,’ she answered on picking the call.
‘hello Abby. I need to tell you something important right now, i mean now. Its very important’
Abby frowned in anger. She didnt know where that memory came from but she just remembered right now that it was Maria who caused her uncle to be arrested. Why hadnt she remembered that since?

‘fu.ck off Maria, i dont want to have anything to do with you abeg’ she said in anger.
‘what do you mean? Did i do something wrong?’
‘who do you think is your slave? You just called me and you are telling me you need to see me, for what? Na you born me abi na wetin?’

‘Abigail whats all this now? When did this one start?’
‘na God go punish you, because of you, its because of you……’ Abby said sobbing ‘because of you that my uncle is locked up now suffering like mad. Because of you and your demonic attitude. I know he did all these crimes but doesnt he deserve a second chance? Even people who go around bombing churches and markets repent and get a second chance but because of you….because of you……’ She started crying not minding the fact that she was in the middle of a street.
‘i can see you have small sko-sko in your head, mumu!’ Maria hissed and hung up.

Abby removed the phone from her ear and tucked it into her jean pocket ‘you will regret this Maria, i promise. I would make you pay, i promise’

She said as she lifted her box and placed it on her head, then returned back home. She wasnt leaving again. She would leave but not yet. Maria just had to pay.
