‘which is more important to your right now? Love or revenge?’ Aylin asked from the other end of the line.
‘love of course!’
‘then forget about revenge for now. You can always get revenge when you are with your…..i dont know his name….lover!’
‘okay’
‘Ximena, you know i’ve said this a couple of times but i wont hesitate in saying it again, nothing good comes easy’ Aylin said and hung up immediately.

Ximena sighed and threw her phone somewhere around the room, then relaxed on the bed. Maybe Aylin is right, she thought. Maybe she really had to fight for her love this time around.
Maybe for the first time, she just had to be cruel, heartless and wicked.

Maybe she should just kill Alice? At the thought of that, her chest chilled, and that was when she realised she couldnt, no matter how much she really wanted to. She wasnt Aylin and she wasnt going to be Aylin. Aylin would be disappointed in her, fine!

But she couldnt and wouldnt hurt anyone.
The best she could do was remain in the house with her hands folded and watch out as the future unfolds itself. She believed in destiny, whatever will be will be and whatever wont be would never be.

If she and Tony were meant to be together, then even if Tony marries for a sixth time, he would surely end up with her, she was certain about that.

But inwardly she really hoped and prayed Tony and Alice wouldnt work out.

Gilbert’s hands shook as he beheld Alice.
‘why….why did you do that to me?’ Alice asked with pity and she stared at this once-handsome-turn-horrible-guy.

It was true that he killed people, raped people, manipulated people but still, was it right for someone to suffer this much?
When she had seen the guy coming towards her with a mop stick in one hand trying to support his broken leg, she felt pity for him.
‘i loved you’ he said firmly.
She b@nged the table with her fists ‘is that love? Does love lie? Does love betray? Does love kill? You loved me so what? Framing me up was the only way to show me how much you really loved me right?’
‘do you even care to know the reason why i did that?’
‘why you did what? Kill Amy and put it on my head? Shoot Maria and place it on my head?’
‘i did it because i wanted to step in and save you after you must have suffered for a few months, when Tony must have turned his back on you. When you would have no one else in the world. Then i would come in and do my best to get you out of here. Then you wouldnt have the heart to hate me any longer. You would see no one else but me. I was ready to change for you Alice because you changed me. You changed me into a monster! A wicked heartless one. You made me do things i never thought i’d do. Made me do things i would never regret not to hurt myself. I was willing to turn back into an angel.

And i was ready to marry you whether you were carrying Tony’s child or not! Why? Because i loved you!!!’ Gilbert said banging the table with annoyance.
‘shut up!’ Alice barked, casting aside her pity ‘you are an idiot, fool! Animal, thats what you are. Why are you saying all these? So i would have compassion on you or what? Fool! You know what? You deserve to rot in here for the rest of your miserable life. You raped my mother. You raped and impregnated Angela, manipulated her to lie against me, decieved Amy, may her gentle soul rest in peace, then you killed her and killed her fiance. Killed your best friend, tried several times to kill Tony but failed. Who knows the other things that you’ve done?’
