Uncle: Yeah charley, that was a very nice meal, please express my gratitude to Doris when she comes back.


Wife: I wish she was here so I can thank her personally. If she continues to prepare such sumptuous meal for you, you would explode in weeks.

Charles: Thanks a lot for your time, I really appreciate. And thank God you enjoyed your meal.


(They settle down on their seats)

Uncle: Now Charles! Listen to me. I am a father to you, not just an uncle! Your late father was my younger brother. I trained your father in School, he lived me for several years before and after I got married and I know him like the palm of my hand. You! (Charles is defeated; he heaves a huge sigh and bows holding his face in his palms)

Wife: My husband charley you know we love you just like our own, so please be open with us and always feel free to seek our advice when you need it.

Charles; yes ma, thank you Daddy, I will always remember that.
Wife: We women are difficult to understand, we bring out new attitudes with every new day but really we are like babies that simply need to be loved and pampered (Husband cuts in)
Uncle: Patience my boy! Patience is the key word every man needs to succeed in his marriage. You are barely a month old in marriage and you are already having headaches, my dear you have not started o! A time will come you will feel like to commit suicide or murder or to even run away.


But those are the ways of a coward. It is your family; you are the Captain of the Ship! So if it sinks, you sink with it. If your marriage fails, then you are a failure. Your wife should have been here today if she has any regard and respect for me because I am your father, she was handed over to me by her Father on your wedding day.
