Must Read: I Have Done Some Great Bad Things - Season 1 - Episode 93

Here comes tomorrow!

Most of us who reside in the city and town, dont know the processes involved in making and preparing most of the things sold in the market, especially,Garri…Thats why, whenever the price of Garri goes up,most city dwellers will cry foul.Well,i dont blame them shaa..But,i can authentically lay down the fact that the preparation of Garri ain’t no easy ride…I dont want to go into details of garri preparation, but this very day has a certain cue of how awkward and stressful and not forgeting the Long distance involved in The Foods preparation…
We all woke up as usual, but this time,it was a little earlier than usual..My grandma’s plan was for us to set-off early to the farm cuz of its long distance;so that we could have done something tangible that day,and realised something feasible before the hot afternoon sun comes up…After much preparation, including the food we will eat there,we decided to set off for our journey towards the farm…The earlier plan is that my grandma and i,with my uncle will go to the Site, though my Uncle’s role is that of a transporter…But,due to the fact that Amara decided to follow us,adjustments were made…Actually,i really became extra happy cuz Amara was coming with us..

After all was said and done, off we went to the Farm,The Furthest of Them All(Its a pity the Government of the day have taken over this place for their supposed Urban Owerri Development bla bla bla bla bla)…We had only one black horse bicycle, and so Amara had to ride it,while i rode my chopper...

We arrived at the place minutes after my uncle have dropped my Grandma at the place..We didnt even meet him when we arrived cuz he has gone for his other business of the day…We set down to Work…One of the things that amazed me those days is the fact that we had Bigger farms at Farther places, but the farms at nearer places are either one plot or one and half plots,or at most two plots…Jeez! We did a heavy and hot weeding that day, that by the time it was approaching midday,We had done a magnifient job of clearing more than half of the Farm…Someone might be wondering how we knew the time, even without a time piece!…Its simple! My grandma reads time from the sun’s position, shadows and so forth…She even thought me how to do same back then,to which i efficiently utilised those days, but has seriously forgotten, this days….

As old as my grandma was,she was still the one doing most of the weeding,i tell you, which even baffled Amara…At some point,Amara had to beg grandma to go and rest while we continue and do the best we can…..She didnt oblige her till i begged her myself….

Around 1pm or so,we went and rested ourselves..We also ate, drank water and waited for the food to digest properly before we went back to conclude the remaining weeding…That was the highest weeding of my life, infact, the highest farm work of my life….We finished it by Gods grace, before 3pm…After waiting tirelessly for my uncle to come and pick Mmaa as he said he would,we told Mmaa that we are going to get Icheku or Ogbanjeleke, and see if we could get utû(all are wild fruits)….She told us not to waste time, and added that should incase they were gone back to the house before we come back, that we should get firewood from one of our farms like that, along the farm Pathway,we agreed….Although we didnt waste time when we went to search for the fruits, when we came back,My Grandma was gone and carried most of the things we came with, leaving us with only two cutlass and ropes…After staying there for some minutes,to rest a bit from our bush wandering, Amara and i engaged ourselves in a little squeezing and rubbing job…I have never really felt Amara’s breastt so firmer! She herself sq££zed my Greatman with delight as we sat there,in that bush…She later said i should sU-Ck her, which i did,but had to stop cuz Amara has started sweating, and i was getting the taste…While we prepared to go back,Amara told me that tonight is the night she will fall for me over and again, but that i shouldnt let her loose her mind cuz of me….Then,i didnt realise what she meant, but it is very clear to me now why she made that statement, even though she said it in Igbo….

We journeyed home and managed to get the Firewoods Grandma told us to get…By the time we reached home,it was already some minutes after 5pm….We bathed, relaxed and we all played, chatted as night set in,Which brought my eagerness and anticipation to the “special night” closer than i could imagine…
The day was like any other day..
And the day’s events was like any other event..
And the day’s unfolded events weren’t so apart from the rest..
And the Day’s ending was going to be like any other day..
But the day’s night was the night She fell for me over and over again..
And the night’s end was the night i made that innocent line….
And so,it happened that the night went as sweet as it could ever get..And the night started to unfold its delightful fruits through the voice of my grandma,in as much as what you would already have guessed rightly by now:Tales!

And so the tales kept coming and coming and coming, and as kids,we kept clamouring for more, and grandma kept hitting it out the more, until she could tell no more…But after much more yearning and clamouring, and begging,Grandma decided to tell us a story, even though this story has been re-told in a modern way to suit the modern life..
Here it goes!.There once was a King and he was worried that her daughter is not getting younger by the day.The daughter on her own is of the opinion that none of the suitors are worthy of her. So,as it were,he made an announcement, gathering all persons(male of marriageable age) to the village stream. He told them to swim from one particular lenght to a particular lenght..

The first person to reach wins. The reward is her daughter, half his kingdom and so on.The villagers gathered smiled, saying it is so easy to do..But as the first person made to enter,a dangerous water animal showed up,and as a result, noone dared enter again..But as the king wanted to address them, they all heard a splash in the water, and they all turned..Lo and behold, one of the villagers is in the stream, struggling and dodging the animal and b4 u could know it,he had swam the required lenght, rushed out with speed from the stream’s river bank, and charged at one of the villagers there and asked him in fury that,”why did you push me into that dangerous water to die?”…He didnt even realise that he just passed a task..He didnt even remember the all hallowed reward with the princess and half of the kingdom…All he cared about was who pushed him and to deal with him..Anyway,he later got the promised things shaa..

As a kid,i didnt realise the lessons in this story, but as a grown up,i undastand it perfectly now…..We all need a little push to believe we can do things we couldnt believe we will ever do:good things i mean;and there it ends…..
After the whole tales, almost everyone was sleepy,me too, except Amara;guess she wanted to make real her statement..And so,after some minutes when everyone must have journeyed to Chicago and chilling with white peeps in their dreams,i walked out of my(our) room to that Of Amara..When i reached,Amara was already waiting for me as usual, except that this time,She was unclad but covered herself with Bedsheet…I could and can still remember that that particular night, and especially, that room and our parlour are usually cold..But it was extra cold that night, and so i didnt even start imagining or wondering why she was covering herself with Wrapper, sorry,Bedsheet…

I climbed unto the bed,so happy and with all smiles, even though my mind was still too young to understand all the statements that Amara made that day.But i could remember clearly that Amara said that “O na ada iberibe ebe m no”(She is alwaz stupidd about me).She told me clearly that she knows that she has been silly about me,infact, that all we have been doing since is silly; But that she finds her joy in doing it with me..That she loves me more than she can even admit..She said many more things, telling a 10yr old chap things that even a 25yr old guy will find hard to comprehend..But so was the way our conversations in that aspect alwaz went,i was alwaz on the listening side: I mean, what will i even say?

But then,Amara made me promise her that i will be hers forever…Well i did!
I Cant remember most of our chats that night, but then here comes the main event…After the whole Love talk and all that,i got myself unclad, climbed ontop of Amara without her aiding me in whatsoever way unlike before…I can remember i said something that cheered Amara up,but i cant remember what it is,and i dont want to ask her…
Well,we ended up making a Passionate Love…It was just like Enya’s line in ‘AMARANTINE’==>”You know when you gave your love away,it opens your heart, and everything is new”….
That was how our lovemaking felt that night..Everything felt new,and by the time we were through with our intimacy,it was as if we were both transmitted to another level of Love…It felt great…

I have alwaz been writing that Amara was alwaz the one who held me close to herself all the time,But this time around, there was this urge in me to hold Amara as she use to Hold me..And so i did!
I could feel that Amara felt great about my Gesture, and so she gave me her whole self again, and we made love again, and again, and again..Oh! It was a night of Love..
