Must Read: I Have Done Some Great Bad Things - Season 1 - Episode 57

Nobody even cared what the time
says,cuz we are home now and
Safe…Everybody la!d down flat on the Church
Pews and waited for Oga Sleep to do his
magic…While waiting for Oga Sleep,i started
the talk of the others still in the Bush…It made
me sober,and i can say same for the others with
me…I started Praying in my Heart for them to
find their way home safely….
I was praying for them and didnt know when i
slept off….It was as if i had just slept for 5mins
when I was woken up by Ifeoma, that it is
Morning already,and the day is breaking…The
dog has already ran Away,and the other boy
has long gone home…It was now me,Ifeoma
and the Older guy…We all walked back to our
kindred(the three of us came from the same
Kindred)….When we reached,a search party
has already been organized,cuz it was
announced that we were lost since
yestaday,being Saturday…When they saw
us,they rushed to us,and started asking us
many questions,both reasonable and
unreasonable…Even,some of the parents that
came out on hearing our return started asking
us about their Children,and weeping,as if their
children were dead….See me see “Ololo wee”

I didnt even reach our home as i joined those in
the Search Party to go back to Look for the
other people,cuz i knew the way…When we
reached that particular place,All the Searchers
went into the Bush and the Search
began…After about one full hour
search,everybody was found,except for one
person,The guy that has Shouted “Jesus!”

previously when he saw a huge
snake….hmmmmm…I was even surprise and
almost laughed to see Collins still around
there…I thought he knew the way….
After another thorough breathtaking search,the
dude was found in a hole,probably being set for
animals,and he was seriously Wounded…
We all embarked on the Journey home…The
tales of their night in that Bush is not
something to really talk about…I bet their
fearz,coupled with paleness and feebleness
caused by lack of food,must have caused them
to see out of the Ordinary and Hallucinate…All
our Stories of what happened that night were
Pathetic,but it is certain that we all learnt our
Lessons from it…After the whole tale-tale
stories,we finally arrived home,and each people
went back to their respective houses,me
inclusive.
When i reached our home that sunday
morning,i saw a feeling of downcastedness on
the face of my Grandma,Blessing,and
Uncle…But,it immediately disappeared when
they saw me…Instead of the normal Harsh and
Corrective words,including a hot lashing i was
hoping for,I was welcomed with open Arms and
the best cordiality welcome one could ever
dream of….Meanwhile,i was hoping Amara did
not hear of what happened to us…I just didnt
want to know What will happen if she heard…I
didnt want to upset her…Well,to confirm my
fearz,i asked Blessing Whether Amara came
here on Saturday,she Said No….wheww! My
heart was really relieved when she answered
me…It seems that the Mass of that day was
shifted 30mins later than scheduled,because
my Grandma them still later went to Mass
around 10:30a.m,after putting my food for
me…

I went and took my bath,came out and Took
my meal,and ate another plate
again…Immediately i locked everywhere
lockable and made to Go and Sleep in the
Parlour,i heard a knock on our
door..Hmmmmm…A zillion guesses ran through
my mind immediately…Who could it be?…I
wearily went to open the door,and standing on
the door was no other person(s) than Amara
and her Brother,Junior….

I didnt even want to guess what brought them
to our house that sunday morning in which
they were supposed to be in Church…If it was
only Amara i could have been afraid that she
had heard,but with Junior there,i took it that
they had sneaked out from Church…But i was
disapointed by my Guess…When They both
Entered our house,they looked as if something
bad has happened to them,and they were not
all that Cheerful as usual…”Nke a unu
megakwanu ka ndi emegbuga
emegbuga?”(This one you people are doing like
people being maltreated?),i managed to
utter…Amara smiled and said that it is
nothing…She said that their Parents will be
going somewhere and might stay upto two
weeks depending…Because of their
schooling,they cant go with them…So they
want to see if they can come and stay with us
within that period….Jesus Christ! “Ya
agwunnuu?”(Thats it?),i asked
rhetoricaly…Hmmmmm…This is something i
have never imagined that will happen in my
wierdest dream…I told them not to even
bother,that it is a done deal…That i will
personally tell my Grandma and Uncle,they can
never reject it,and i know they will even love it
the more…it was a welcome
development….Both of them were too damn
happy,and it couldnt be hidden….They later
left..
My Grandma them later came back from
Church,and after eating and relaxing,i broke
the news to them…They acepted it…In the
evening of the same day,i mounted on my
bicycle and straight to Amara’s house to inform
them…When i reached,everybody was at
home,but their parents were busy packing
certain things i guess they will be needing for
their journey…I told them the news,and they
were all happy…Their parents said they will be
going the next day………After chilling out there
a bit,i told them i was going,Their parents said i
should wait a bit…The father went inside,and
when he came out,he gave me wands of Naira
notes and i thanked him……Amara decided to
escort me a bit,when she finally reached where
she will turn back,i Jokingly told her that,”ama
m na ibiagaghi igbu m n’uyo anyi?”(I hope you
are not coming to kill me in our house?)….She
knew exactly what i was saying,and so she
started laughing Like Mad..”nwa ojoo”(bad
boy),she said as i drove
off.
