Must Read: I Have Done Some Great Bad Things - Season 1 - Episode 16

The Holidays has gone..We are now in Primary
4..To me,it was a great Joy..i know it was the
same for my other classmates..Amara’s aunty was
made our teacher officialy as the former teacher
incharge of the class had retired..As we later got
Acquainted with her,we started Calling her
Madam Obi(in villages,it is the way female
teachers are being addressed,rather than
“Aunty”,as the modern day schools do)…Erimma
changed school as Nkiru continued to stay with
us,alongside intermittent Bleeping Sessions
between us too..Ike changed to my school,and
this brought us closer the
more..Akunna,Collins,Eunan,Chibuike,Ukachi,et
al;All returned too..Stella went back to Irette,her
place(Neva got to know why)..it was even
better,as she reduced my workload…..After the
first and the 2nd week and 3rd week,school
resumed with its fabolous(stressful) activities in
earnest..We all soon realised that Madam Obi
wasnt actualy all that friendly as she had been
during those early weeks of frivolities..But then,it
wasnt Long b4 her interest in me started showing
clearly..I guess it was because of her Niece,Amara
or so..i didnt care anyway because it favoured
me..During the 5th or 6th Week,she had offered
to make me a class prefect but i declined it..I told
her Collins is better,bcus he was the strongest in
that Our Class and everybody respected him
(feared him i would say)..The reasoning was
sound and Madam Obi bought it perfectly..it
made sense anyway,because had i actually
become the Class prefect,hmmmmmmmm..it
wud have declared me the class’ number one
enemy….Collins was happy with that too..The
class were happy too..But the only thing that
Lingered on Was the jealousy they had,that
Madam Obi Showed Favouritism…………………

Madam Obi turned Mother on me..I guess i felled
for it because i have neva actually being
Mothered before(My Grandma’s love was
exceptional,but those of you that grew up with
their mum will undastand what i mean more)..I
Needed it,God provided it for me through Madam
Obi..Its just like a magnet,we Attracted each
other..hmmmmm..Madam Obi started sending
me errands,buying things for me,Praising me in
Class for my little performances in Class,and all
that..On one of those days,Madam Obi sent me
on errand to her House to get something..She
told her daughter will be there..I climbed on My
Bike and rode away,all the Way to Madam Obi’s
House..When i got there,Madam Obi’s daughter
welcomed me in..Just like i said,She is way too
mature than Nkiru,and her name is
Faith..Whatever she saw in me baffles me..She
just kept smiling as she offered me drink and
went inside to bring the Parcel i came for..I used
that Opportunity to view Madam Obi’s
house..Men! MAdam Obi’s husband was realy rich
i guessed..I Was still viewing the house When
Faith came up to me and gave me the Parcel..As i
made to go,she called my name,i stopped…Will u
come again?she asked..I looked at her as i said
that i may come with Aunty Nkiru(For the first
time ever,i called Nkiru “Aunty” ..She smiled
and gave me 50naira to buy things with.I
thanked her and rode away….The break period
was over When i came back,but i just walked in
Majestically as if the world is beneath me..Any
other Student would have recieved heavy lashes
for coming back late,regardless of whether It was
Her (madam Obi) that sent them on Errand..i
gave her the Parcel and went straight to my
seat..Whn skul dismissed dat day,MADAM OBI
asked me to come over during the weekend and
stay with them….In those days,teachers
command respect a lot,and coupled with the fact
that Madam Obi was now a big part of my Family
(because she comes to our house as often as
soonest)..i went Back that day and Told my
Grandma,wich she gladly acepted..To her,madam
Obi wil help me stop being “waka
waka”(ojemba),bcuz she knows how disciplinary
Madam Obi was..But Nkiru didnt Buy The
day..she didnt show it anyway,but i was surprised
Whn she sneaked into my room that night to
discuss About it..I guess her fear was
Faith,madam Obi’s daughter..I Told her to come
with me na,After all,she is your Aunty too..

This made her happy as she just hugged me in the
bed,and before i could say my name,we have had
a Hot Bleeping Session
Whatever i was thinking that made me tell Nkiru
to follow me to Madam Obi’s House for the short
weekend,i regretted it the next morning..It
Dawned on me That Nkiru being Around means
less freedom for me..I didnt even think of The
effect it could create for Faith and Whatever Plan
she had mapped out..Was it Nkiru’s too much
closeness to me that time as she was staying with
us? I couldn’t really tell..Maybe i am reading too
much into whatever will happen at Madam Obi’s
House..or was i?…….Towards friday Evening,me
and Nkiru were on our way to Madam Obi’s
House..I Brought along my bicycle,but i was not
riding along in it..We just Trekked..We reached
around 6.pm that dat day,and were highly
Welcomed by Madam Obi..She was surprised
though to see Nkiru come with me,but it didnt
bother(maybe she thought my grandma told her
to escort me there..just my guess)..To say Faith
was too surprised to see Nkiru there too,is an
understatement..She gave Nkiru that Pretence-
filled gaze,but Nkiru never understood it because
it didnt bother her anyway..But,i undastood it..it
was a gaze of Hatred..The kind of stare you will
give some1 who is trying to Stop u from
Achieving a Particular set out aim..But,as a
mature girl she was,she hid it perfectly and
noone undastud it(well,except me)………Faith
Showed me the room i will be staying in,for the
weekend..Madam Obi told Nkiru to Stay in the
same room with me that night,as they didnt have
time to clean up the other unused rooms..U
should have seen the look in Faith’s face
room….She objected her mum’s idea of Nkiru
staying with me,offering to share it With
Nkiru…”O kwa ima na odii ka wu nwatakiri..nani
ya aga ehili na room ahu so ya”,(You know Odii is
stil a child..Only him cant sleep in that room)
madam Obi said,in a Finality tone..I innocently
went to the said room and viewed it,it was cool..

I just la!d down on The bed and faced the Ceiling
as Nkiru Entered…She Smiled and Said “Aunty
Faith is calling you!”…………………….
