Ciara quickly broke off the kiss leaving him surprised. She was out of breathe, her eyes hazy with desire. He wanted to ask her why she ended the kiss but he couldnt muster courage to.

‘i’m sorry’ she said breathelessly ‘we shouldnt be doing this….i….i got carried away and…..’ she was fidgeting with her fingers as she stood up nervously ‘i think i will just take my leave’

Lex managed a nervous smile as he stood up ‘its nothing Ciara, i…will just walk you to the car’

He wanted to ask for more but he couldnt. He was scared. It just didnt feel right kissing Ciara and he didnt know why.

‘lets go’ Ciara said bending down to pich her purse and shoes, showing off her creamy thighs in the process.

It wasnt jealousy. It was just….a feeling of emptiness? Like she was the one doing the cooking and comforting and another lady was recieving the passionate kisses and all.

She tried convincing herself that she was doing all this for him because she was his friend and she wasnt one to leave a friend in need.

The sudden unlocking of the door startled her.
She peeped to check what was going on.

‘so will you be coming to work tomorrow? I have a photo shoot tomorrow’ Ciara said as they stopped beside her car.
‘i….will try. I’m sorry i stayed away without permission or information, it was impromtu’

‘i understand’ Ciara said getting into the car ‘and if you wouldnt be abe to make it, just give me a phone call, i will know what to do’

‘okay, thanks alot Ciara’
She smiled broadly as she started the car ‘you’re welcome’

‘Lex! Lex! Please…..please dont….dont send me…away……i still love you….i love you with all my heart….my body and my……soul’
‘she’s awake!’ Mrs. Jovita said pulling at her husband who was busy speaking in tongues ‘Ann, Ann, can you hear me?’
‘no! Please dont touch me….dont rape me….please….please…dont’ Ann muttered weakly, her eyes close as she shook on the hospital bed.

Tears flooded Jovita’s eyes ‘i’m here for you my dear, no one gonna hurt you. Not when i’m here’

Her husband and the two other pastors in the room kept praying and speaking in tongues. She felt like joining them but her mind was in turmoil. She knew the bible said pray without season and alson in every situation you find yourself, give praises to God. But she couldnt.
‘God, please bring my daughter back to me’ she prayed silently ‘over the years i’ve prayed for her to return to me, you’ve finally answered my prayers, please complete the good works you’ve started Jehovah’
The three men rounded up the prayers. Her husband walked up to her patting her shoulder and looking lovingly at his favourite daughter.

‘when i was praying, the spirit ministered to me…..Ann needs spiritual cleansing, a thorough one. And by spiritual cleansing i mean baptism and repentance because she has put her hands into so many immoral things including prostitution….’
Jovita gasped.
