I couldn’t believe what i saw. Janet has posted my picture on her twitter account and captioned it”Best Boo Ever”which has received a great comments from different people. Many people were saying that i was her boyfriend while some where saying that she was lucky to have me and others, that i was lucky to have her though she didn’t add anything about me.

My heart began to pound; i don’t know what to do. I never wanted to disappoint Evelyn and never did because i have not fallen in love with any other person except her. But how does Janet even have my picture? Oh! Maybe she also transferred it when she collected my phone at her residence but why does she have to post it online? Even if i had something with her that doesn’t mean that i have feelings for her.

I knew that my dad and her parents will see the post and that will bring about a big problem for me most especially from my dad.

But my main problem was Juliet, she must see the photo or rather, has even seen it before me and the problem it will cause between them and I cannot be expressed
I stared at the screen of my phone with disbelieve. I wiped off the sweat that was forming on my forehead and cleaned my eyes maybe i was been deceived by my eyes but the picture seemed to be more clear. i shakily opened my instagram account and the first thing i saw when i opened Janet’s posts were 2 difference pictures of mine which she reposted several times. I began to fume, i wish i could turn back the hands of time, everything is been shattered before my feet. I dialled Janet’s number and she picked it up immediately obviously operating her phone

JANET: hello handsome **her angelic voice sounded from the other end**

ME: hi Jane. What is the reason for all these online stuffs i am seeing?

JANET: oh! Was that why you called? I thought you will be happy with that
Happy with that? I think this girl does not even know the rate of problem what she did will cause me

ME: you don’t get it. I told you that i don’t want anybody to know about me

JANET: but i didn’t wrote anything about you online, i just posted your picture, that is all

ME: don’t you know that the media will definitely ask you about the owner of the photo?

JANET: don’t worry about that, i will handle it very well and i promise that i will never reveal anything about you or do you want me to remove the pictures?

ME: i didn’t ask you to do that. And there is even no need for that because the picture has circulated over a wide area

JANET: don’t be scared, it will not cause you any harm. Love you

ME: we will talk later

I breathed down immediately i hung the call as the driver drove into the compound. I climbed down and walked toward the door only to be welcomed by Mira’s body on mine as she gave me a warm hug. I was quite not in the mood but i tried to be cool so as not to raise any suspicion

MIRA: where have you been?

ME: but i told before i left that i will be seeing a friend

MIRA: yes you did but you wasted much time which made everybody very worried

ME: like i am small a kid that will not know his way around?

MIRA: not like that, you know that you are new here and have not gone out since. Why do you think that we will not be worried if you didn’t return on time and this is a big city

ME: it is okay, i am home now, let’s get inside
I didn’t want to engage her in any conversation because i don’t have the strength when i knew that will be able to talk none stop from morning to night and never satisfied. We walked into the sitting room to see mum resting on the sofa and the television was switching off, obviously, she was done watching the programs that start immediately after 2pm news

MIRA: mummy, he is back **she shouted**
I was surprised at her childish display like i have been lost for many years. I couldn’t help but imagine what they might have been saying in my absent

MUM: where have you been since morning? **she asked with anger in her voice**
I froze immediately, that was the first time i will see my mum angry with me. Though she was very cool and simple, she never tolerate any awkward behaviour from anybody
