It was during December period; we were rounding up our exams and preparing for Christmas vacation. I knew to be precise that i will be spending the Christmas with my uncle which will be really tough for me but i had no choice.

Evelyn has stayed off me and i was enjoying the best relationship with Tracy. We d’ stay together to write exams without any problem from the invigilators. We spend almost all the time together during the examination period.

When the school finally vacated, i felt empty because i missed Tracy, though it was not up to two days. I d’ go and supervise my uncle’s sales personnel from morning to night; not that i actually does anything, i will just sit static without doing anything.

UNCLE: how do you see the activities going on here?**he asked me as he walked into the premises from god nowhere**
ME: just cool, well organised and flowing **i replied**
UNCLE: **smiled** and how about your role here?
ME: very boring, i do say, i will always been busy but doing nothing
UNCLE: **frown** how do you mean?
ME: sitting down here from morning to night is just f-----g s--t. I don’t do anything; do you think that you it is really good for me?
UNCLE: i know what you are trying to say but your presence here is compulsory as far as you are not having anything doing at school
ME: so i am now under a spell or what are you trying to insinuate? **asked**
UNCLE: that is a question you should ask who way beyond me is
ME: and who the hell is that? **i was really provoked that i d’ live under the mercy of other people**
UNCLE: i don’t know
ME: you don’t know? Oh! My dad right? I know that it was him
UNCLE: no you are wrong
ME: don’t worry, i know that he is the only one that will want me to suffer
UNCLE: no Ben, your dad wants the best for you. He only want me to look after you and that was why i always want you to be here so as to keep you busy and save you from unwanted problems.
ME: now that you have finally admitted that he ordered you or rather asked you, i don’t know but all that i know is that i am gonna have a talk with him this night
UNCLE: bring out your phone and delete your father’s number from it here in my presence **he ordered**
I looked at him from hair to toe wondering who the hell he is and what power he stand on to order me. This man must be really crazy, i thought
ME: why should you ask me to delete my own father’s number from my own phone **i stressed the “my own phone”**
UNCLE: you never take him as your father; you hated him more than your enemies.
ME: yes i do and that is none of your business
UNCLE: it is all my business. You delete the number now or i seize that your phone and you will never have any phone again
What! That he will seize it? Bullshit!
I looked around and noticed that almost all the sale’s personnel were busy watching free movies and i barked at them to go back to their duties which the obeyed with urgency. I didn’t know why i shouted at them because i shouldn’t have done that on ordinary days because they are all far older than me but the anger in me blinded me. I turned my attention to the man standing in front of me
ME: you seize this, i buy another one tomorrow ** i said with fury**
UNCLE: **laugh** everything you own belongs to your father and he has right to claim it anytime. All i need to do is just to call him and all the money in your bank account will be freeze.
ME: what? **very shocked**
UNCLE: that is just the tip of iceberg
ME: you must be joking
UNCLE: i don’t have time for one. Delete the number now
I sluggishly brought my cell phone out of my pocket and deleted the old man’s number and walked away. Not that i needed the number (i would have deleted the f-----g number long ago but for the fact that i don’t like deleting peoples number; i will rather reject your call and won’t call you either) but the fact that it was someone else ordering me to do it pained me to the marrow. I really needed to work hard and get myself off this f-----g bondage
For the rest of that day i was very sad, i didn’t talk to anybody till the closing period by 6pm. Everything about me really pissed me off, i couldn’t have imagined my dad putting me under the control of another person. I wonder if he felt happy that he never set his eyes on me since when i was 5.
I couldn’t do anything when i got home. I just decided to play some games in other to ease myself

It was on 27th of December; no shop for me that because i took that day off. I was missing Tracy too much despite the fact that we spoke on phone every day. She also told me that she was not travelling for the vacation, so i was planning to go to their house but i didn’t know her address and i didn’t want to ask her because i want make it a surprise for her. I equally planned on getting her a Christmas gift.
Luckily for me, Frank visited around 2pm that day
ME: xup guy, you didn’t travel and you didn’t even inform me
FRANK: i travelled oo, i was just returning and decided to see how you were enjoying your Christmas here
ME: always man alone as usual now **i replied with a grin**
FRANK: you really sU-Ck
I served him something and we sat down and began to discuss about many things. He told me his adventures in the village, how he nearly bleeped their neighbours daughter only to be interrupted by his father, and many host of others. I decided not to tell him about my problem with my uncle because i don’t want him to ask any question about my parent
ME: bros, i want you to accompany me to somewhere now oo
FRANK: where?
ME: Tracy’s house
FRANK: it just like you are already missing her
ME: you know now **i winked**
FRANK:**laughed** lover boy. Anyway, let’s get going but hope you know the address?
ME: i don’t know oo that is why I want you to accompany me
FRANK: no problem. I know the place. Go get ready now
