Priscillia had was lost in her thoughts, she didn’t even realise when Omoye had walked in.She had stamped her feet to announce her presence.

Priscillia; I didn’t see you walk in
Omoye : You were lost in your thoughts. Babe are you okay?

Priscillia; yea i am

Omoye; abi make i cook beans for you?(trying to be funny)Omoye was her closest friend. she was married with four kids.She had stood by her when she had returned from lagos after
divorcing Henry.Omoye was a shoulder to learn on because those time were really difficult for her to move on.

Priscillia:e betta make i chop s--t,that your water water beans.

prisci $ Omoye: ha ha ha

Omoye; I was passing by, so i decided to pick you up for lunch.

Priscillia : that was so thoughtful of you.

Omoye; Shall we?

Priscillia : sure.They headed to bikers (one of the biggest eatery).

Henry sighed,thank God it was successful. I have to be there right now but he noticed his workers were all gathered in one place. On a closer look he noticed they were watching the competition. He had no idea it would capture so many people’s attention.

He headed back to his office knowing fully well he wont make it, he put on his tv and focused on it.

Sophie went to the rest room, surprisingly Florence was there.

Sophie ; how come?

Florence:I followed you.you were not yourself through out the first session. what is it?

Sophie; dad isn’t here (broke into tears)

Florence; it okay, don’t let it distract you
All contestants on stage now
I have to go now Florence. Don’t forget to Focus, Retrieve and Achieve. Florence said,
That was their theme they believed they could achieve anything through focus.

3 Contestants were left,7 had dropped during the first session. It had continued with the three contestants none ready to let go.But Contestants 8 dropped when she stammered3 times it was now left with Phillip and Sophie.

When they got to the eatery, they settled down, everybody was more engrossed on the tv than the food they were eating. When Priscillia saw Sophie on the screen, she had said to herself she was an awful mother.

Phillip was asked to spell a word which he missed a letter.It was given to Sophie which she spelt correctly. Even at that mrs Dim was proud of her son. She had ran up to the stage to hug him.The trophy was handed over to Sophie.

She couldn’t stop the tears from falling.

Florence an her mother had ran to hug her.Mrs Rebecca acted as a mother to Sophie.

Immediately they dismissed them, Sophie wlalked as fast as she could to the back of the auditorium, she wanted to be alone. She sat down with her head in her palm crying.

mrs Dim and Dorothy had searched for Philip everywhere. Mrs Dim couldn’t even place when he left them.She had searched everywhere, he is would come home when his mind is settled, honey lets go.

Phillip wanted to be alone, he ran to the back of the auditorium to seat but he saw someone. he couldn’t forget that uniform colour. The girl on purple and ash who won the competition, he had walked up to her and sat down beside.

immediately he regreted his impulse, he decided to walk away but just as he stood up to go, she raised her head up, and asked what do you want in her broken voice.
