The twins mom jumped up her foot when she saw Haira, she attacked her at once but I was quick to secure my wife behind my back.
“Husband snatcher, you have succeeded haven’t you?” She clapped stretching her neck to see if she could touch Haira but I wouldn’t let that happen.

“Baby, go stay in the car I would handle it” I whispered as she ran outside the hospital building.

“Ehn ehhhhh, follow your wife now where are you going?” She crossed my way, legs parted, chest up and hands akimbo.
I smiled and moved up to her, bending my head downward to reach her height.
“Dear mother in law, I have handled worse witches so you see, if you get in my way now, I would flog you and you would join your daughter there” I smiled as she left my path in fear but kept running her mouth. I walked up to my father in law that sat on an aluminum chair in the reception.
“Come” he beckoned as she adjusted his flowing agbada and led me into Hanna’s ward.

it was a private word, she was alone, she lifted her head up the pillow when she heard the cracking of the door and our footsteps. she couldn’t see us because of the bandage so she listened for a voice.

“This is what he did to my daughter” Phillip Ima said crying.
“Dad?” She said floating her hand in the air to see of she could hold him.
“Where’s the criminal now?” I asked and she jumped up sitting upright on the bed.
“Ambrose” She screamed bringing her hand in my direction so she could hold me.
“He’s with the police, I think i should leave you too to talk” He left us and I dragged a plastic chair towards her bed.
“Am sorry for everything you have been through” I held her hand in mine and she nodded.

“Thanks for coming” She stretched her second hand towards me and I helped her put it on my face.

“Ambrose promise to always check on me, please” She pleaded rubbing my face.
“As long as I don’t have to see your mom, I would always check on you” I kissed the back of her palm and she giggled withdrawing the hand from mine and rubbing it excitly. I knew how much that kiss meant to her, I wish she never pushed me to the wall, I would have spoilt her and showed her what love truly is but, what would I do now that Haira has won me over completely.
“Haira is waiting in the car, your mom won’t let her in and I can’t keep her waiting for long. If you need me, Just call me, I would be here” I said getting up the chair and she opened her hands for a hug, I reluctantly hugged her and she refused to let me go.

“My wife’s waiting” I forcefully pulled out.
“I would wait patiently for your next visit” She said as I walk towards the door.
“I would try, take care” I smiled even though she couldn’t see it, I felt really sorry for her.

“Ambrose!” She called out as I opened the door.

“I love you” She said in a low tone and I inhaled deep.
“As a friend, I love you” I quickly stepped out and slammed the door before she say something else.
“What did you tell her in there?” My dear virago mother in law attacked again.
“Ohhh mother in law, high blood pressure is real” I winked as i postrated in front of my father in law and made to leave.
“Madam, this is an hospital not a market place, lower your voice” A pass by nurse cautioned and she was pulled back by Haira’s mom.
“Nurse rude, you don’t know who my husband is, you would lose your job” She clapped at the embarrassed nurse who stared at Phillip Ima.

“Sir, I advice you make her see a psychiatrist” she said as she walked away and I grinned loudly.
