?Hanna POV?

After beating me up, he locked me in the guest toilet for about two hours. I removed my top and held it on my bleeding eye.
I looked back at my past, I use to be violent and men feared me, Ambrose wouldn’t breathe when I talk in anger but here I was in a guest toilet crying and bleeding after been battered by a man.

He soon flung the door open and rush me to the clinic, my left eye had gone really bad. I was scheduled for an eye surgery instantly. He paid the fees and I sent words to my parents.

I know Amos must have smelt his own shit when I heard the fish wife’s voice. My mom screamed the hospital down, I could hear her voice distance away as I lay on the hospital bed with both eyes bandaged.
I couldn’t cry because there was no eye to carry out the tears. I should inhale and exhale. If there’s only one wish left for me to make in this life, it would be me asking that Ambrose Ford come back to me and never leave.

?Ambrose POV?
Phillip Ima told me Hanna was hospitalized, he said she underwent an eye surgery and she’s in a critical state.
“50/50 chance, one eye at stake” he said over the phone and a tear escaped my right eye.

My wife was still sleeping upstairs and it was evening already, I needed to go see Hanna but i wouldn’t want her to go with me. She need a lot of rest and I wouldn’t have her panic.

I got up the sofa in the sitting room and went into our bedroom, she was still sleeping. I quickly changed into a simple native attire and sneaked out of the room, I walked down the stairs nimbly and was about taking the last staircase when I heard her voice “Sneaky man, sneaking out” She giggled standing in front of the bedroom door.
“What are you up to?” She asked walking down the stairs.
“You should be sleeping” I held her waist when she finally walked up to me.
“You woke me, I knew you were sneaking out” She said placing her two palms on my shoulder
“I was careful enough not to wake you, how come you knew i was leaving the house?” I asked surprisingly.
“Your scent” She came forward and we kissed.

“Was rushing out to get your sanitaries, go back to bed let me be on my way” I said hastily as I pulled her off my body and was about dashing out of the house when she pulled me back.
“I don’t need sanitaries and you know that, you aren’t calm, is there some kind of emergency?” She asked looking worried and I immediately knew I wouldn’t risk telling her anything.
“There’s no problem baby, Just go to bed I would be right back” I said trying to walk her up the stairs.
“When did we started keeping secrets?” She asked hugging me tight and I melted.
“Baby, I don’t want you to panic okay?” I cleaned the front of her head and she nodded.
“Just tell me, I promise I wouldn’t panic”
“Hanna’s boyfriend hit her, she underwent a surgery few hours ago and she’s at the verge of losing an eye, I wanted to rush down to the clinic when you stopped me” I knew Haira, she is so emotional and breaks down at little things, I held her close to my body knowing fully well that she was going to break down. I was right, she sat on the staircase and cried.

“It was all my fault, I married you” She cried yanking her hands off me.
“See why I wouldn’t tell you? Now stay back and sleep” I said angrily as I stormed out of the house.
“I am going with you” she screamed after me as she joined me in the car shoeless.
“At least change from this dress and get your slippers on” I told her sU-Cking my lower lips when my eyes caught her cleavage. She was braless and wore a white singlet over a blue short.

“No, you would leave before I get back” She said ordering me to get the car going.
