I looked on the floor to pick what must have fallen, I saw the paper and thanked him… after which, I went on towards the exit of the airport.

And there she was, sitting, probably she had been standing all day or she has been wandering about in the airport… she sat like she was tired of everything….


Instead of going straight to her, I navigated my way and approached her from the back….

To God be the glory, there was a vacant space beside her, so I dropped my luggage somewhere as I went on to her seat…

Me: Hi… is anyone here *Pointing to the vacant seat*

She looked up, curious to see who could be disturbing her, when she was still expecting her boyfriend….

Shola: Jesus * as she screams so loud * Oh my goodness….

She stands up and tried to hug me… but there was this bulging hindrance….

Her stomach was there….
I put my hands on the stomach….

Me: Wow baby!

She just looked beautiful…. The pregnancy made her look like a wife…. I was so happy…

Shola: How are you? How was your flight?
We started our journey back towards the exit as I got my luggage…

Me: My flight was good… and boring of course…

I put my right hand on her shoulder with the other one on my luggage…

We were out of the airport… and as expected the airport taxis are always present… our hustling brothers….

Driver: To where?

Me: Magodo!

Driver: 3k…
I remembered currency issue so I ran back to get my rands changed.

I was back in no time as I put my luggage in the booth…

I was exhausted from the journey, but here is the love of my entire life sitting beside me after how many years…

Me: Baby, I don’t understand why you’ve to risk yourself… look at your condition now…

Shola: I said I’ve heard… but one thing is if you come to Nigeria 100times, I’ll be at the airport waiting for you…

Due to the usual Lagos traffic, we got home after spending about 1hour 30minutes on the road
My sister was waiting anxiously….

We got down from the vehicle as I went on to knock the gate…

At once, the gate was opened…

Kemi: * hugs me tightly * Jide!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I responded as she my luggage for me…

To be honest I was overwhelmed that I didn’t realize my pregnant girlfriend had followed me home… yes my mum know I got someone pregnant but they’re still against the whole thing…

My sister doesn’t even know anything…
We entered the house and I was so exhausted… shola went to the kitchen straight… I was surprised…

I went on to my room, as my sister came on to meet me…

Kemi: Jide… how are you?

Me: I’m okay… but I’m tired.. so tired sef.

Kemi: Sorry…

Me: Who tidied my room like this? *spotting was all in place and there was this huge scent….* *I was about hugging her for a job well done…

Kemi: Ah!… it’s sister Shola o…

Me: Sister Shola how? How do you even know her name?

Kemi: ahnahn…. What do you mean… she’s been coming regularly now… so she came to tidy yesterday… that’s why the scent is still around..

Me: *looking confused* I don’t understand what you’re saying o…. like this same shola?

Kemi: Yes now, your fiancée….

Me: How did that happen?

Kemi: Me I don’t know o. I sha remembered that one day she came with mum and dad to the house and her mum also was with her…

Me: When was that? When did all these happen?

Shola came by…

Seeing Shola everytime with that stomach makes me giggle everytime…

As she approached me, I got a call from Nolly….

I hurriedly picked up before her eyes could get on it…

Nolly: Baby!! You couldn’t even call me…

Me: Sorry Nolly… I’m just getting home… I’m exhausted…

Nolly: Sorry…

*call ends immediately*

After a moment, a text message got in…
*you’ve to change your sim remember… as soon as possible and send in the new number okay…I love you*

Shola came by and pushed me on my back….
Kemi left the room…for us…

She sat on my leg….

Shola: So baby…. They’ve started calling you again ehn….

Me: ahnhan… what you mean now? What you saying jare….

She slammed a kiss on my forehead….

Me: Baby, it’s always been you… even though there were girls, but you know now… I always remember those moments…

She moves closer to me… and kisses me again….

Instead of sleeping I called Nolly…. The thing wasn’t going through again so I called on my sister Kemi….

Kemi: which network now?

Me: I dunno… anyone…

Kemi: Why’re you now doing like you’ve been out of the country for like forever…

She left the room laughing hard… I just relaxed my head…. But was thinking on everything again… Shola is really pregnant…

I was very happy my family knew about the whole thing already, and it seemed they were in support…

I took my luggage to get the cash I had brought along because I withdrew everything in my account. I need to act like a husband!

I was about sleeping when Kemi entered the room…

Kemi: Take your sim o…

Me: Chill come Kemi… what’s up now? How are they? The boys…

Kemi: ahn ahn Uncle Jide……. At least uncle now, since you’ll be a father… I’m still young now….

One thing is that, I really want to protect my sister… from everything… I don’t even want her to get a boyfriend… but I can’t chain her….she’s growing also…

After switching the sims and copying out the contacts… I sent Nolly a message…
*Hi babe… here’s my number*
In about 5 minutes, she called me…

Nolly: Good… so how’re you feeling now?

Me: I’m okay… I’m just tired… I’m going to sleep now…

Nolly: Okay love, I’ll talk to you later then…

Me: Okay… bye
I switched off the phone as I slept…
I was woken by a loud noise on the door…

I couldn’t recall, but it was dark… and silent…
My door opened….

Shola: Baby your food is ready….

Me: What was that sound?
