I woke up with a bang, “where am i, where is everyone, what happened?”, few seconds later realisation sets in, i was in my room, memory was fully loaded, “oh my god” I said , remembering the events of last night, “what have I done!”.

I went to buy alabukun(was told it helps), 30 minutes later I felt better. I checked the time , it was 2pm, no wonder no one is around , they must have gone for lectures since 8am.

I checked the boys upstairs , no one their, I needed to know how bad last night was, I felt the only people who could tell me how bad I acted without coating or expanding it are toke and mercy.

I decided to see toke “f**k all this game we are playing”, i said to myself, even if she does not gree I need to apologise and explain before things get any worse, before she makes a decision, I hope she has not yet.

I took my bath, got dressed, then left the hostel for toke’s department. She was still in class , I could see her by the window, she saw me too and I waved my hands, she just look at me and suddenly faced the front of the class, no acknowledgment of any sort from her.

I stood on that spot for the next one hour, never would I have thought that I would ever stay in the hot sun for over one hour waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence, maybe it’s the residue from the weed, was told that it can be in the system for days, that’s why you don’t do lab tests after taking it.

I stood their sha , waiting for her to finish lectures,also promising myself several times never to go near a grain of weed again. The lecture eventually ended and the students where moving out of the lecture room, I saw her come out, she looked at me again and started walking in the opposite direction.
” anti you are finished, you’ve started running after woman” I thought as I ran after her. I caught up with her and held her arm.

before I could say anything, she pulled her hands out and continued walking, she went to meet some of her classmates, maybe she wants me to beg in front of her classmates, “naa”, I thought, toke likes things being kept private, she just does not want to talk to me, ill wait till I see her later.

I was now very hungry all of a sudden so I went to eat, I went to class, lectures where over Tey Tey , so I decided to walk back to my hostel. I saw toke far far off in the distance, I knew what she was wearing so I knew it was her, I started jugging towards her.

I caught up with her and held her arms again, “what is it!” she yelled as she forced her arms off from my hands.
me:” babe….”
toke: ” who is your babe”
me: ” babe, Im so so so sorry”
I started apologising, telling her how sorry I am, she calmed down a little but anytime I tried to hold her hand she pulls away while giving me the eye,
toke:” did you know what you did yesterday?”
she went on to tell me what happened, how I abused everybody, including people who are just walking by , including her !
me : ” I’m sorry babe, you are the best thing I know on earth, I did not mean to abuse you.
toke:”so you did not mean call me a b**tch”
me : ” Haa, I swear it was not me that said that, I was not in control of myself
toke: ” so you did not mean to call me stupid”
me: ” I’m sorry babe”
toke: ” so you did not mean to call me crazy and foolish and and….”
me:(Im beginning to tHink she is exaggerating)” babe, I’m sorry, hope you’ll forgive me”
toke: ” first tell me what you took last night”
me: ” don simon”
toke: ” how many”
me: ” one”
toke: ” what else ”
me:” just don simon”
toke:” liar, Ive seen you drink before, one don Simon wunt make you do what you did last night”
me: ” this one is the original one, remember fake plenty for town”
toke” stop lying jare, I know the truth”
me : ” what truth”
toke: ” you followed ade to smoke weed”
me: ” who told you that one”
toke: ” David told us yesterday night , anti how can you go and be smoking weed”
me : “bastArd” I thought in my mind ” I’ve kept your secret for months yet you could not keep mine for just one hour!, if I expose this David now them go say I do bad”
toke:” answer me , why did you smoke weed”
my brain started calculating fast, I said
me: ” maybe it’s because of you”
toke: ” wetin you mean”
me: ” you are probably the reason I went to take that thing”
toke:” I surely did not send you a mail authorising you to take that thing did I?”
me: “you understand what I’m saying ”
toke: ” nope ,I do not”
me: “you abandoned me, you left me”
toke: ” I did no such thing, stop accusing me of something you are guilty of, it was you that left that day”
me: “you drove me away”
toke: “anti, I did not drive you away, you drove yourself away, I’m not a small kid, I know what you where trying to do”
me: ” what I was trying to do will benefit both of us,(she looked at me as if something is wrong with me) it’s okay you don’t want it, ill not bother you about it again, but you could have told me instead of pushing me away”
toke: ” if you had waited, we could have talked about it”
” talk talk talk talk, that what you guys do” said my brain while junior added “action less people”.
me: ” action speaks louder than words girl, your actions shows you don’t want me, we have been dating for months yet no intimacy between us”
toke: ” are you talking about s*X anti?”
me : ” sort of”
toke: ” I told you that day that that is not the issue”
me : so what is the issue”
toke: ” we will talk about it later, I need to rest now, I’ll see you later”
We had been walking to our hostel area while talking, as she walked on to her hostel, I said “we will see later, does that mean I will come over?” she turned her head and nodded.


Good, I had solved the weed part, I’ve solved our fighting part, and I’ve started the engine for my project again. I went to the boys room, everyone was back, as soon as I stepped in, the room erupted into laughter, some where hailing me, some where making jest of me “you Don see your legs?”,….” him legs lost before?”,…”them borrow him legs for Orthopaedics”. “Ya fada” I replied them all, “you wey suppose they yaba left by now” they replied.
The banter died down and the argument changed to fight over booking of space that night, a roommate, ade and David where trying to get space as them get action that night.

Eventually it was agreed that the roomate will go first, David will Come later while both of them will give ade a certain amount of money and he will take his action elsewhere. Later as ade left the room , I followed him and askEd him.
me : guy I wan see you”
ade:” if na to ask weda you fit follow us go DLI again, na lie you dey lie, e no go work , it’s not possible.”
me: ” nooo o, no be dat one, I just wan ask how you dey take arrange venue for straffing, I get plans but na venue dey mess me up”
ade : ” that one no be problem, follow me”
Ade took me to the staff quaters, introduced me to one guy like that , I don’t know if he is a student or not, he payed the guy some money and told me to bring money along if im to use his boys quaters.
ade payed early so that his spot will be secured, he told me that too, he said that that how some boys survive in the school, providing space for boys and girls with serious Konji issues at small price for one or two hours. Ade also took me to meet another guy in one male hall in campus(the boys in that hall used to form what they are not, no wonder it’s dry mostimes), we entered a room and after introductions, the guy brought out albums of girls. He told me those are albums of girls in this school, they are all registered runs girls, their prices are fixed , he is the official pimp for the whole university , wow I thought. He is so well known that he even provides girls for senators when they do their retreats. hope you remember those retreats they do to discuss the condition of the country , bet you now know one of the reasons our country is still bad.

I tried to open one of the albums, he stopped me, saying those are executive, I can’t afford them , he bought out my level which I glanced through.
You could wonder how the guy could allow me see those pictures, well it’s thanks to ade, I know what will happen to me if I reveal any of those girls outside that room. The guy is expensive, but he pays the girls well and the business is triving, girls beg him to get registered, he does not accept girls anyhow, but once accepted your financial status change on campus, but you will do some medical teSt’s first like HIV test.

Now that I’m getting some better knowledge about how things run in this school, I thanked ade and departed for toke’s hostel , feeling happy with the new info I just got.


I got to toke’s hostel , met her, mercy not around and we started gisting, the gisting led to the issue of my project, I got a big break on my project ill reveal all in my next post
