We drove in silence as we pass many villages, i was silent till we get
to Auchi because am still confuse what am i going to do in
portharcourt when i can simply stay in Auchi here, well let me go to
port and get my self since they say Auchi here is their headquarter, i
wont doubt it because of the school Auchi Poly.
Edna: yoou are silent.

Me: dont just feel like talking.
Edna: did you later tell your mum about the portharcourt plan?
Me: not yet, i will tell her when i get to auchi.
Edna: you should tell her when we get there so that tommorow you be on ur way.
Me: my bros wont agree to that, i will have to stay like two to three
days before he will allow me to go.
Edna: waoh, okay i will stay with you while catherine and stephaine
will go back,.
Steph: and live you alone?
Me: you all should return, i can find my way to port by myself.
Edna: of course you can, no doubt but who will protect you here in
auchi for the three days you are going to stay.
Me: well i will be indoors all through.
Edna: you wont trust me, just drop it i will stay in campus with other
of our group members if anything you call me.
Me: okay no problem ma.

Before we enter town police stop us on the way, and i believe we have
weapons with us.
Stephaine stop and exchange words with the officer.

Steph: i go check wetin they sup for town.

We enter Auchi and they turn left (to my brothers Creek) we drove
for some minutes before they turn left and enter Hope Hospital road, na
there my bros they.
Within two minutes we don pack for front of my brother house, we come
down, i know say my bros no dey house i for no try am bring them here,
catherine help me with my bag and drop it at our frontage, she enter
car with steph leaving me and Edna.
Edna: i will return in the evening to come check on you, make sure you
dont go out please.
Me: okay ma,.
Edna: alright bye.
She enter their camry 2.2 ( i wonder where them they get those
flashing cars, first na mercedes benz, then toyota, now na this one,
well na them sabi.
I let them go before i walk to the back of the house to collect key,
then i came back to the frontage to open the house, na so my bros dog
they bark as if na thief i be, well that one na better sign say e dey
active, i open door enter parlour see as everywhere they shine, i
know say my bros wife sabi maintain things well well, i enter my room
and drop my luggages, i then relax on the bed and start thinking about
how things went, i check time 10:05 AM, my bros wife they come house
by 6PM, make i just sleep small since light no they,
i pull my clothes and relax on the bed within three minutes i don
sleep, e be like i never sleep since three days ago
Chapter Seven
I was still in sleep when i heard something ringing, it sound like
“aund lang sym” ringing tone, chai na who wan disturb my sleep now eh,
i never even sleep reach anywhere self, i turn to where i kept my
phone and look at the screen, i saw my dear mum, i pick it up.

Me: Good morning ma.

Mum: na mornning you they for that side, abi na china you travel go?
Me: good evening ma (sometimes if i sleep evening they be like say
na morning if i wake up)
mum: how you they?
Me: fine ma.
Mum: good you don reach abi?
Me: yes.
Mum: how the people for there?
Me: them never come back from work.
Mum: okay if them come make you greet them for me oh.
Me: okay ma.
She cut the call and i check the time, 5:15 PM, waoh time don go like this?
I got up from bed and waka go parlour go carry cold water, i saw
palmwine on the frigde and help myself with some, i went to kitchen
and open pot nothing they self, make i go relax back for bed joor, as
i they enter room my phone they ring, i check the screen and i saw
Edna.

Me: hello Edna.
Ed: how are you now.
Me: am enjoying myself.
Ed: haha with what, do you have light?
Me: no light am enjoying myself with palm wine, do you want some?
Edna: very much, i will be there around eight when everywhere is dark and
make sure you keep some for me.

Me: okay no problem, bring something for me oh.
Edna: something like what?
Me: well like good phone, i dislike this one.
Edna: okay no problem, BA killed one of our girls here and this place
is hot, am trying to calm everything down before everywhere in Auchi
turn to blood.
Me: ha na wa oh, please take care too oh.
Edna: am always careful, am the leader now, so i have many things to do now, i will catch you later.
Me: alright ma.
I relaxed on my bed thinking after the call, i really need to become bad
fast, i want to revenge the death of my love and i need to be bad to
do that, been here limit my movement cause am always watch and my big
bros wont allow me do anything, and also this place is hot for me,
seems like BA want me by all means, but they got Tina already why cant
they free me? Well maybe they think i will come back for them, hmmm
and also since all this trouble i have not heard from mabel, oh yes
maybe I don’t think she have this my number, cause i insert new sim inside, only
my mum and Edna have this number, maybe i should call mabel, i took my
phone and set hide my number ID, i dial her number, she didnt pick, i
try again she still didnt pick, when i try the last time she pick up.

Me: hello.
Mabel: please who am i speaking with?

She was silent for some seconds before replying me.
Mabel: where have you be?
Me: been to London to see the queen.
Mabel: answer me joor, where you go sinice?
Me: nowhere.
Mabel: i didnt hear from you after that night.
Me: yeah, just wanted to lay low after that scare in church.
Mabel: am sorry i try to talk to my brother.

Me: to Auchi.

I drop the phone on the bed, why was she asking me where i am? i hope I won’t regret telling her or maybe she get
something for me, lol, i was still thinking loud when i heard a knock on our
door, i think say i nor lock door na, i waka go parlour, i from window
check who they gate, i saw my aunt and went to open the gate for her.

Me: welcome ma.
Aunt: Ozila how you dey?
Me: fine ma.
I open the gate for her, and she walk inside carrying her little baby.

Me: e don tey oh,

Me: light no they since oh.
Aunt: okay oh, them go soon bring am no worry i nor say you they like
film well well.
Me: hahaha.

She commot baby for back and give me, fine boy, im carry im daddy face,
Aunt: i hope you don chop sha?
Me: no oh.
Aunt: why na?
Me: i check pot nothing dey.
Aunt. I keep food for fridge for you na abi you nor check fridge?
Me: i check oh, nothing they.
Aunt: the deep freezer wey they store?
Me: i nor know say freezer they oh,
Aunt: okay, play with baby make i warm food for you.
Me: okay, na when brother go come?
Aunt: if him no come today, surely tommorow him go come.
Me: okay.
I took the baby to my room and we play together, aunt serve food and we
ate, we discuss somethings together, later when is dark they retire to
bed, while i relax in parlour my phone ring i look at the screen r
