Twist Of Fate - Season 1 - Episode 246

Abhi tells Pragya that he has loved her for such a long time and he is unable to take the next step to get married but if Pragya is with him, he will have the courage.

He says a new journey will begin but he can't forget what he shared with Pragya and the fact that they shared the room together.

Pragya says when he begins his new life, he will have to forget the past and take a step in the right direction.

She reminds him that she had promised to always be there for him as his best friend.
She tells him to forget all the memories of their time together.

He asks if she can't forget the memories herself.
She doesn't respond.
He says if they are just friends then why can't she come to his wedding?

Pragya she's she's sorry she can't come.
He reminds her that she was the one who encouraged him to marry Tanu in the first place.
She says she is happy for him and how he has matured and she knows he can handle things.

Abhi says he will try and understand her reason for not wanting to attend.
He leaves the room.

Tanu is dressed up for the event.
She calls her mother to ask her to come straight to the temple.

Her mother says she's worried about Pragya.
Tanu assures her that Pragya has been taken care of.

Her father gets on the phone and congratulates her.
He asks why Nikhil came to pick them up from the airport instead of Abhi and he asks why Nikhil is calling them in-laws.

Tanu tells him to ignore Nikhil as he just likes to say such things.
Abhi is dressed up and ready to leave.

Purab and Akash are with him but they look unhappy.
Tanu asks Alia why Abhi looks like the way he does.
Alia tells her to ignore it and focus on the fact that she is marrying him.

At the temple, Grandmother prays for God to do something.
Purab tells himself that he has failed Bulbul.
Abhi is searching for Pragya with his eyes.
The priest announces that it's time to exchange garlands.

Abhi and Tanu exchange garlands.
They start making the nuptial rounds.
Pragya appears and tells them to stop.
Everyone is stunned.

Abhi looks somewhat relieved.
Pragya walks over to Abhi and Tanu and she unties the nuptial knot.
She says she won't let the wedding take place.
Tanu asks how dare she.

Pragya says she has a reason and wants to know if Tanu wants her to say it aloud.
Tanu says she wants to talk to her in private.
She takes Pragya aside and tells her to leave.
Pragya says she won't leave without her husband.

Tanu says Abhi is waiting for her and not Pragya.
Pragya says the wedding is illegal and goes against the law.
She says Abhi is her husband by law and she would do anything to take him.

Alia joins them and asks Pragya what she will do.
Pragya reminds her that she is living in the house with Abhi's permission so she can be thrown out anytime.

Alia shuts up.
The police arrive and with a women's rights representative.
She asks Pragya for the person trying to steal her husband.
Pragya shows them who Tanu is.
Alia says Pragya is lying.

The inspector tells her to be quiet or she will get into trouble with Tanu.
Pragya says the papers she signed were not legal.

Tanu says Pragya signed them.
The inspector says the document is not valid because Pragya was not sober at the time she signed because someone had spiked her drink.
Tanu says it's a lie.

Pragya shows them CCTV footage of the night at the restaurant, showing she was drunk.
Ajay asks who got her drunk.
Pragya says maybe the person who has been trying to marry her husband for months.

Tanu says she called her own lawyer because she knew Pragya could pull a stunt.
The lawyer arrives and says the signature was perfect and Pragya's hands weren't shaking so the law won't accept that she was drunk.

Tanu says Pragya must've been pretending to be drunk.
The lawyer says Pragya took all of Abhi's property and doesn't want Abhi to get remarried.

The inspector says they will have to take the matter to court and until a verdict is given by a judge, Abhi can't get married.

Pragya says the wedding won't just be postponed but cancelled.
The lawyer says the wedding can't get cancelled except she provides proof.

Pragya calls the hotel manager and waiter.
The water says Tanu paid him to put alcohol in Pragya's drink.

Tanu says they will have to prove it in court.
The lawyer says she's right.
She tells him to get the papers.
He brings the papers and Purab asks to see a copy.

He looks at the papers and says the wedding shouldn't be postponed because it never took place and they can't annul a wedding that didn't take place.

He asks Tanu and Alia how they could make such a huge mistake.
He shows them the papers and says it was supposed to be signed by Pragya and Abhi for the wedding to take place.

Tanu asks what he means.
They pass the paper around for the family members to see.

Mitali laughs and says that it is the divorce papers for Abhi and Pragya but it has Tanu's signatures.

Purab says it means Tanu has divorced Abhi even before the wedding.
Tanu is gobsmacked.
She asks the lawyer what happened.
He says he doesn't know.

The police and women's rights representative are on their way out.
Pragya thanks them.
The women's right representative says she's proud of Pragya for trying to save her marriage.
Tanu tries to hit Pragya but Pragya grabs her hand and reminds her she's pregnant.

She also reminds her that she had told her that Abhi is her husband and Tanu can't steal him away no matter how much she tries.
Abhi is watching them.

Tanu storms off and her parents follow.
Pragya comes face to face with Abhi.
She tells him not to worry as she will still divorce him but it will be her decision.

She says she felt like he didn't want to get married so she came to save him and now he can go anywhere he wants to go.
Abhi walks away.

Tanu tells her parents to please leave her alone as she will fight her battle on her own.
She gets into the car with Alia and leaves.
Grandmother blesses Pragya.

Pragya says she went to the restaurant when she found out she had signed the papers drunk and she told the manager to look through the security footage; the manager just called her today to tell her he found the footage and she went to see him so he showed her the waiter who spiked her drink.

Grandmother says Pragya saved the whole Mehra family from Tanu and not just Abhi.
Abhi enters the room to see Tanu sitting on the bed.

He asks why she's looking at him when it was all her fault for spiking Pragya's drink now they can't get married.

She asks if he's not happy about it.
Abhi says he's upset.
She asks why he doesn't go and shout at Pragya.
She tells him to leave her alone as she doesn't know how her signature got on to the paper.

Abhi tells himself that his wedding has been called off and he doesn't know how he feels.
Pragya is with Grandmother, Tanu, Rachna and Akash.

They are laughing about how the entire ceremony went.
Purab says when they walked into the lawyer's office the other day, they went with some fake papers to swap the original but when the security guard raised the alarm, Akash threw some papers in the bin and didn't know which papers they were; thankfully it turned out that the ones the lawyer had were the fakes and the ones in the bin were the originals.

Grandmother assures Pragya that everything will work out for their own good.
Next morning, Nikhil arrives Abhi's house and blames Tanu for not allowing him to handle things.

He says if he had accepted Pragya's offer, he would have been CEO by now.
Alia tells him to go to Pragya if he wants to.
Nikhil storms out.

Tanu asks Alia why she sent Nikhil to Pragya.
Alia says everyone already knows Nikhil is the father of her child so it's nothing new.

Pragya, Purab and Rachna meet up in the right secret room to have drinks.
Purab says it's a sad party.

Pragya says for now they won't party but when they get rid of Tanu after exposing her, they will have a huge party.

Grandmother enters the room and Pragya asks why she's upset.
Grandmother says the reason she's upset is that Pragya always gives up easily and that's what Tanu uses against her

Pragya asks what she should do when she's surrounded by darkness.
Grandmother tells her there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Pragya says she won't give up easily anymore.
Grandmother tells her not to ever think of leaving Abhi because the Almighty wants them to be together and they will never be separated.
