'Twist of Fate' Season 1 Episode 216 Recap - Aired: Monday 3 July 2017

Purab tells Grandmother that he thinks they need to tell Sarla the truth because she's suffering and needs Pragya's support to help her deal with Bulbul's death.
Grandmother says she understands but it's important for Pragya to achieve her goal.
She suggests they leave the decision to Pragya to make herself.

Pragya enters the room and Grandmother tells him what they were discussing.
Purab says Grandmother thinks she should decide for herself if they should tell her mother.
Grandmother says she will support her if she decides to tell her mother the truth but she should make sure she exposes Abhi's enemies.

Tanu wakes up in the morning very tired and upset that she can't get a massage.
She sees a greeting card by her bedside and it's from Nikhil.
She wonders how it got there.
She hides it under the pillow and goes to the bathroom.

Abhi enters the room and sits on the bed.
He remembers all Pragya told him about Tanu not being faithful.
He picks up the pillow and sees the card.

Tanu returns to the room and he asks who gave it to her.
Tanu says she sent it to herself, then she says it was for Alia but she didn't like the guy.
He asks if she would like to go out for lunch.
She gets very excited.

Rachna serves the family breakfast.
Ajay tells Pami that she never liked Rachna but Rachna is taking care of them.
Pami says she likes Rachna and wishes Mitali was more like her.
Mitali says she taught Rachna all she knows.

Ronnie goes to Mitali and tells her thugs he has come up with a plan to help them find the person who was helping Alia.
Mitali tells him that the family is watching them.

Abhi comes out with Tanu and tells Grandmother that he's taking Tanu out to eat.

Grandmother panics and tells herself that Pragya will not be happy when she finds out.

Purab is looking for Abhi in his room.
He asks Pragya where Abhi has gone.
Grandmother enters the room and tells them that Abhi has taken Tanu to lunch; he's getting closer to Tanu and distancing himself from Pragya.
Purab says he will call and cancel the date.
Pragya tells him not to.
She says if Tanu is what Abhi wants, it's fine but they need to expose Tanu.
Purab asks how they will do it.
Pragya suggests they blackmail Tanu and let her know that they know her secret.
Purab says Bulbul helped them with Alia and they need someone to help them now.

Abhi brings Tanu to eat at a roadside restaurant.
She gets upset and says she can't eat at a cheap place.
He looks disappointed.
She complains that the place is so messy.
He says he doesn't have the money for a fancy restaurant.
She offers to pay.
He tells her to think about what she really wants, him or his money.
She looks shocked.
He says he wants to hear an answer.
She says she cares about him and his reputation when people see him in such a place.
He says he doesn't care and he wants her to decide what she wants.
She tells him she left her career for the sake of having his baby and even went against her parents for him.
He asks why she doesn't respect his decision of eating street food if she loves him so much.
She says she has to think of her baby because the place is so dirty.
Abhi says he wants her to tell someone else that she loves him and not his money.

Nikhil is at the house.
He tells Grandmother that he heard about Alia.
Pami asks him when he's getting married.
He says he will send them an invitation soon.

He asks if Abhi has gone out with Pragya.
Mitali says he went out with Tanu.
Nikhil is upset that Tanu went out with Abhi and ignored his messages.

Purab walks in and tells Nikhil that he wants to discuss some projects with him.
They go out to discuss.

Mitali suggests throwing a party for Rachna and Akash.
Pami accuses her of just looking for reasons to party.

Abhi and Tanu return home.
Grandmother asks Abhi what's wrong.

Abhi says he knows they keep wondering why he's defending Tanu; he wants to let them know he's marrying Tanu and they have to accept she's the right girl for him.
Pragya is quiet.
Grandmother asks Abhi why he's talking that way.
Abhi says Pragya told him that Tanu doesn't love him.
Tanu confronts Pragya and tells her she should be ashamed of herself for putting such thoughts in Abhi's head.
She says she's not like Pragya who took all of Abhi's money.
Abhi tells her to take it easy

Nikhil and Purab return.

Tanu doesn't see them because they are behind her so she keeps talking.
She tells Pragya that she loves Abhi, not for his wealth and she will do everything to make Abhi happy.

Nikhil is visibly upset and barely keeping his anger in.

Tanu is upstairs, feeling happy about the way the day is going.

Nikhil drags her into a room.
He asks what she means by all she was saying downstairs about loving Abhi.
She says she had no choice but to lie.
He says that was not the agreement and it seems she won't divorce him
She tells him to stop doubting her.
He says be hopes she's not playing games with him.

Mitali and Ronnie enter the room.
Mitali asks Tanu what she's doing in the room with Nikhil and what relationship they share.
Tanu panics.
Nikhil says he kept their relationship hidden but he shares the same relationship with Tanu as he does with Abhi.
Tanu almost faints.
Nikhil says he signed her up for a modelling job but she hasn't been able to do it so he wants his money back.

Tanu tells Mitali and Ronnie not to tell anyone so that Abhi doesn't get angry with her.

Tanu and Nikhil leave the room.
Ronnie asks Mitali if she believes the news.
Mitali says she's not convinced.

Ronnie asks if she thinks Nikhil is the one who helped Alia.
Mitali says she doesn't think so but she wants them to stop following Tanu and just focus on finding the villain.
He asks where they would focus.
She tells him to give her one night to think.

Pragya enters the room almost in tears.
Abhi enters and asks what's wrong.
He says the truth always trumps lies.
She tells him that he will find out the truth soon.
He asks what the truth is.
She tells him that Tanu would only lie to him about loving him.
He says he tested Tanu by taking her in a rickshaw to a roadside restaurant but she couldn't eat because of her pregnancy.
She tells him to go ahead and marry Tanu if he loves her but when he eventually finds out the truth, he should accept it as his luck.
Abhi says even if Tanu is marrying him for his wealth he would still marry her for the sake of the baby and he wants Pragya to leave him alone.

Pragya wonders who she can talk to, to help her blackmail Tanu.
Tanu sees her and they stare at one another.
Tanu asks if Abhi threw her out of the room.
Pragya reminds her that the house belongs to her.
Tanu says Abhi will send her out of the house.
Pragya says she wants to see if Tanu will be able to take care of Abhi when he leaves the house and becomes homeless after marriage.
Tanu says he is a rockstar and will always make money.
Pragya says all of Abhi's money and even the ones he is yet to make, belong to her and she will make sure she strips him of all his wealth so that he can see Tanu for who she is.
Tanu says she will tell Abhi to divorce Pragya and she dares Pragya to stop her from talking to Abhi if she's as powerful as she claims.
