Pragya meets Bulbul, Grandmother and Purab at a coffee shop.
Bulbul asks if she really didn't see the person who tied her up.
Pragya admits that she saw the person but chose not to tell so that the accomplice wouldn't escape.
She tells them it was the decorator.
Purab says it means Payal was right.
Pragya says she needs one day off character so she can be herself because she wants to fast for Abhi and be normal that day.
Grandmother says she can go ahead.
Bulbul says Pragya can't break the fast till Abhi feeds her so Abhi will know she's been acting all this while.
Grandmother says she's right.
Pragya says she wants to do it and no one will take it away from her.
She leaves the restaurant.

Tanu is on the phone with Alia, telling her all that happened and how Abhi saved Pragya.

Nikhil enters the room.
Tanu thinks it's Abhi and get as a rude shock when she turns around and sees Nikhil.
She reminds him that she had asked him not to come without letting her know.
He says she asked him for money and he came to give it to her.
Tanu says the plan failed.
He says he would still give it to her since there is a special day coming.
Tanu asks what special day it is.
Nikhil says the fast is coming and he wants her to fast for him.
Tanu says she has to fast for Abhi because she's going to get married to him.
Nikhil insists he will be the one to break her fast and he will give her a special present.

When he leaves, Tanu decides to call Alia and beg her to return so she can help her out.
Alia's phone is switched off.

Pragya is at home.
She gets a call from Bulbul's phone.
She answers and says she's fasting no matter what.
Grandmother says she's the one talking and just wants her to now she can go ahead and fast but nobody should know she made a vow for Abhi, especially not Abhi himself.
Pragya asks how he's supposed to help her break her fast if he doesn't know.
Grandmother says she doesn't care.

Abhi wakes up in the middle of the night to ask for water.
He doesn't see Pragya in the room so he gets the water himself.
He sees the time is 4 am and wonders where Pragya could be.
He goes in search of her.

He gets downstairs and doesn't see her.
He hears a cutlery drop from the kitchen.

Pragya is in the kitchen, fixing herself a mean before the fast.

Abhi walks into the kitchen and startles her.
He asks what she doing.
She says she was hungry and so she's cooking something for herself.

Tanu enters and asks what's going on.
Grandmother follows.

Pragya says she was hungry and Abhi made her dessert.
Tanu gets upset with Abhi.
Grandmother asks Abhi if he really made her dessert.
Abhi says he didn't.
Tanu says she's going to fast for Abhi and he didn't make her anything.
Grandmother tells Tanu to eat something because of her pregnancy.
Tanu is still upset, so she leaves the kitchen.

Abhi asks Pragya if it means she's fasting too.
Pragya says she doesn't believe in such nonsense.
She tells them not to wake her up before 11am.

Abhi enters the room and decides he will leave the house before all the rituals start.

He goes to the closet door and knocks.
Pragya has locked it from inside
He tells her to open it before he breaks it down.
She eventually opens it.
He's stunned by her beauty but covers up by asking her who she is trying to impress with her red dress.
Pragya says there is someone.

Abhi remembers there is a fast and says she must be fasting.
Pragya walks away.

Abhi tells himself that something is fishy.

Pragya is pacing about the room, upset that Grandmother told her not to go anywhere.

Tanu enters and asks why she's wearing red when it's for only those fasting.
Pragya says she just felt like wearing it.
Tanu doesn't believe her.
Pragya tells her to back off otherwise she would fast and ask God to cancel Tanu's wedding.
Tanu says she wouldn't dare.
Pragya says she can do it.
She asks Tanu why she looks worried.
Tanu says she doesn't care if Pragya is fasting or not.

Aunt Indu tells Grandmother that she doesn't think Tanu should be fasting in her condition.
Grandmother says she told her but Tanu insisted on fasting.

Purab and Bulbul come into the house.

Tanu comes downstairs and asks if anyone has seen Abhi.
Aunt Indu tells her to take it easy as she is pregnant.

Abhi walks in.
Tanu takes him aside and says she thinks Pragya is also fasting.

Purab and Bulbul try to eavesdrop.

Abhi tells Ronnie to call Pragya.
Ronnie says Pragya is busy in her room.

Abhi says he has to go and put an end to it.
Grandmother asks where he's going.
Abhi says he wants to go and find out if Pragya is fasting.
Grandmother, Purab and Bulbul are shocked.

Abhi calls Payal and asks her for the chocolate bar he gave her earlier.
She gives it to him.

Abhi gets to the room and he's shocked to see Pragya chewing and the side of her mouth is smeared with food.

He sees the table is also la!d with different dishes.
He asks what's going on.
She says she's just been feeling very hungry today.
He says he thought she was taking part in the fast and praying for him but he thanks her for showing him how she truly is and how she no longer believes in rituals.
He asks if she remembers what she told him last year about how important the rituals are and how a man would live longer if his wife partakes in the fast.
Pragya tries to hide her emotions.
He says from now on, he will no longer believe in the rituals of the fast again.
Pragya hides her face and wipes her tears.

Abhi throws the chocolate bar at her then leaves the room.

Purab and Bulbul come to the room.
Purab says he hopes Abhi didn't find out.
Bulbul says she's sure Abhi didn't find out.
Pragya says she can't bear to see Abhi in so much pain anymore.
She asks if she's doing the right thing.
Bulbul tells her she's an inspiration to her and she's even taking part in the fast because of Pragya.
Pragya is shocked.
Purab says he was equally shocked.
Bulbul tells him to keep quiet.
Pragya tells them they can't fight on the day of the fast.

Grandmother wonders if Abhi has found out anything from Pragya.

He walks into her room.
Grandmother asks what he found out.
He says he doesn't understand why he's feeling hurt that Pragya is not fasting.
He says he was very happy when love was not a part of his life.
Aunt Indu says God may be testing him.
Abhi asks when God will bring him happiness.
He vows to bring happiness to the family.

The table is set for dinner.
Mitali sneaks some snacks and hides them under her sari.
Grandmother tells her to put them back.

Abhi picks up an apple.
Grandmother tells him he can't eat till the fast is over

Pragya walks in and asks how they knew what she's craving.

She tells Ronnie to take a plate to her room.
Abhi tells Payal to take it from Ronnie.
Ronnie and Payal struggle for the plate.

Pragya takes it from them.
Abhi asks why she's acting this way.
Pragya makes fun of the fast and how stupid it is.

Sarla who just walked in, hears her and gives her a slap.
She says she keeps coming to the house in the hopes of one day seeing her old Pragya back.
She explains the importance of the ritual to her and says she doesn't even know why she's bothering because she should have slapped herself instead of Pragya.
Pragya is unable to keep the hurt from her face.
Sarla tells Pragya that she has nobody left in her life and one day she would be all alone.
She says she should have known that the type of woman who would cut ties with her husband would not fast.
She says she feels so embarrassed in front of Abhi's family and from now on, she would cut all ties with Pragya and Pragya will become an orphan.
She apologises to Abhi for making him marry Pragya.
Abhi tells her she doesn't have to ask for forgiveness for Pragya.
He says Pragya will always be hated by everyone.

Pragya goes upstairs.
Abhi tells Sarla this she's still like a mother to him so she can come to see him anytime.

Grandmother, Bulbul and Purab are with Pragya in her room.
Pragya is in tears.
She says she can't fast for her husband and even mother has severed ties with her so she would rather die than live the life she's living whee she has to pretend ans she can't even apply vermillion to her forehead.
