'Jemeji' Season 1 Episode 163 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 18 October 2017

Folake runs to Senami to ask if she's okay.
Senami picks up her things to leave.
She says she remembered something that happened a very long time ago.

Folake says Senami should just tell her she
doesn't want to say what's wrong instead of coming up with such an excuse.
She asks if she's ready so they can go.
Senami asks where.

Folake says they are going to drop their bags at the lodge then they will go to the waterside for the proposal.
Michael Wealth and his partner come to the palace.

The attendants tell them that they can't see Otogan like without an appointment and he's not even around.
They ask what they've come for.
Michael says they are from a microfinance bank.

He tells them how the process works.
The attendants say they will try it out.
They invest 500 naira each.
Michael tells them that they will get 2,500 each.
One of the attendants asks who they can consult in Aji if it doesn't work.

Michael Wealth asks if they know Fonton, then he says they will be coming with Fonton to see the Otogan later.
Oviyon is with his boys.
He asks them if they want to do something more productive with their lives.
They all say yes.

Oviyon says he wants them to take some rehabilitation classes.
Totai says they can't go to school at this age
Oviyon says in Lagos most of the people making the money are people like photographers, makeup artists and actors and a lot of them aren't educated.

Jonah comes to tell Oviyon that he's proposing to Peace today.
Obi is at the shrine.
He asks Mausi why she allowed him continue to deceive himself and Otogan when she knew he wasn't Miyise.
Mausi asks if he's sorry for Chief or for himself.
He says Chief died believing a lie.

Mausi says Otogan died a happy man.
Obi says it's not fair.
Mausi says the gods do not concern themselves with playing fair
Obi asks why she didn't choose Fonton's family for Otogan.
Mausi says the gods didn't choose them.
Obi begs her to just let him go.

Mausi says it's his punishment as he told a lie so he would live it.
Obi says his children will now follow Otogan's bloodline.
Mausi says the gods want peace and if it means allowing an interloper, then so be it and if the gods want that line to be Otogan, then it will be.

She tells him Aji is in his hands and he can heal or destroy it but he should know there is no place to run to when darkness comes.
She calls him Otogan Miyise and tells him to stand in the light.

Obi looks frustrated.
Oviyon and his boys are by the waterside.
They have decorated the canoe with colourful balloons.
Senami and Folake arrive.
Folake is very excited.
Oviyon tries to talk with Senami but she tells him she's good.

Oviyon gets a text message.
Senami sees Seyive and says maybe she should start leaving since she's not needed there.
She says it aloud so Oviyon can hear her.
The call is from Neza.
Oviyon asks what's going on.
Neza says he needs to lie low but he needs a favour from Oviyon because Seyive has returned to Aji and he wants Oviyon to watch over her.

Oviyon says it's not a problem.
Senami and Folake come to see Peace at home.
Folake tells her to let Senami see the drawings.
Peace takes off her shawl.
Senami tells her to come to the clinic and she will give her a cream to use in the meantime.
Jonah calls Folake to tell her he's heading to the waterside.

Folake says they will be on their way.
She goes to Folake and Peace and says they should start going to the waterside.
Peace asks why.
Folake says one of her friends is coming from Lagos.
She says they need to touch up Peace's makeup.
Peace asks why.
Folake says the friend is coming from Lagos.
Obi comes to the waterside and the boys hail him.

Oviyon apologises to him about the Sewedo incident and they shake hands.
Obi asks what's going on.
Oviyon says Jonah is about to propose.
He assures Obi that he won't let him down again.
Jonah arrives and gets very excited at seeing the decorations.

The whole of Aji is gathered at the waterside.
Folake and Senami bring Peace.
Peace asks what's going on.
Jonah holds her hand and tells her that he loves her and didn't know he could love someone till he met her and she makes him a better man.

He gets on his knee and asks if she will marry him.
She nods.
Everyone cheers and Jonah slips the ring on her finger.
He picks her up and spins her around.
The boys share palm wine around.
Senami squares by the bonfire.
Matron walks up to her and says she didn't see her at the clinic.
Senami says she needed to clear her head.
She says she's so confused.

Matron says she knows Senami wants answers but sometimes things aren't what they seem.
Senami says she saw something that should have been impossible.
Oviyon interrupts them and Matron tells Senami that she will see her at the clinic.
Senami looks at Peace and Jonah all lovey-dovey.

She asks Oviyon what went wrong.
Oviyon tells Senami that he was in love with her.
She asks if it was her fault.
He says they both made mistakes.
She asks if he thinks they ever stood a chance.
He says he doesn't know.

She bids him goodnight and leaves.
Obi is standing by himself drinking palm wine
He hears Folake talking loudly.
She walks up to him and says she didn't think Otogan would attend such an event with commoners.
He tells her well done as he knows she planned the entire thing

She says she did.
He says he's sure she would like such a proposal.
She says even bigger with everyone she knows and the love of her life.
She says she thought it would be him.
He tries to speak but she tells him it's okay.
She walks away.
Peace and Johan are in front of Peace's house.
Jonah asks if she's happy.

She says she hopes he didn't spend too much.
He says no.
She says she didn't know he liked her this much.
He says he does.
He kisses her and tells her that she has made him a very happy man.
He says it's late and he has to leave.
After he leaves, she turns and sees Dethin.
Dethin points in the direction of the shrine.
Peace asks if she has to go now.

Dethin nods.
