Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 117

Folake and Obi are inside his bedroom at the palace, staring at one another.

Folake asks if he's just admiring her fine face.

He kisses her.

She says they have to start leaving now.

She says she doesn't know what to call him, Emeka, Obi, Miyise or Lionel.

He jokes that she can call him Michael Jackson then says he can change his name for her.
She laughs and says he has lyrics.

He says he doesn't want to be anyone else but this new person and he doesn't want to be anyone else but who she knows.

She says what about his family?
He says he doesn't want to be bothered about them now; he just wants to go.

She says they need to get going right now.
He tells her to go and pack her things from the lodge while he packs his.

She tells him he can't pack so that nobody gets suspicious; he should just get his documents.
An attendant comes to inform him that it's time for an elder's meeting.

He tells the attendant to accompany Folake to the lodge.
Kingsley brings a lunch basket to Senami at the clinic.

She teases him about cooking.
He asks for Seyive.
She asks if he needs her.

He says he brought a water dispenser and wants Seyive to set it up.
She calls him Santa Claus.

He says he just had it in his store.
She says she's kind of getting tired of telling him how generous he is.
He says he's not tired of seeing her happy.
Senami calls Seyive and tells her that they have to go and help Kingsley.
Kingsley tells Senami to stay and eat while he and Seyive go.

They get outside and Kingsley tells Seyive that it must be tough all these years without her sister.
Seyive says she can't put it in words but it hasn't been easy.
He asks if they were close.

She nods.

He says he's sure she's looking forward to getting close to her and Akweyon may feel the same way.
He asks if Akweyon has started speaking to her.
Seyive says she's not been talking.

He asks if Akweyon hasn't told her why she's been attacking him.
Seyive says Akweyon doesn't talk and it's Neza that she's close to.
Neza is in the hut.

He is studying a link analysis chart that he has drawn on the floor with chalk.
The names in the chart are Senami, Oviyon, Kingsley, Akweyon. Mausi, Kingsley.
He gets frustrated and erases the chart.

At the meeting, an elder tells Obi that people are afraid and it's because of the deaths in Aji.
Oviyon forces his way past a guard and enters the palace.

He apologises for intruding and begs the elders to allow him to say something.
one of the elders asks why he couldn't wait for them to leave.

Oviyon says he has something important to say in front of them and wishes his uncle, Fonton was there so he could look in his face.

He says he knows who killed Oya Francis and he knows it's a big accusation so he's gathering his evidence but she was killed by Half-a-day and his uncle Fonton is involved.

An elder suggests they are brought to the palace.
Oviyon agrees.
Another elder says it's not that simple as it's a murder case and they need to involve the police, besides they don't know if they are also involved in the other atrocities.

Oviyon agrees and says they have no idea what the boys are capable of.
They ask Obi what he thinks.
Obi is lost in his thoughts.

Oviyon calls his name and Obi snaps out of his daydream.
He says he agrees with their judgement and thinks they should wait until tomorrow to gather enough evidence.
Oviyon is shocked at his nonchalance.

Folake enters the lodge.
Dr. Jide sneaks up on her as he has been waiting there for her to show up.
She asks if he's mad.
He raises his hand but falls down in fear when he hears the guard call out to Folake from outside to find out if everything is okay.

She tells him it's okay and she will soon be out.
Dr Jide says he should have her and the barbarians who attacked him, arrested.
She asks who should be more scared of the law.
He asks how she got them to do her bid.

She tells him to just move on.
He says he can see she has loads of experience lying on her back.
She asks if he thinks she will be offended as he's calling her a wh0r£.

She tells him to get out.
He tries to raise his hand to her again but she warns him not to dare.
She advises him to take the back door and says the next time he sees her, he should go in the opposite direction.
He leaves through the back door.

Matron brings a woman to see Senami, saying the woman refused to tell her what the issue is and just insisted on seeing Senami.
Matron leaves and Senami asks the woman what the issue is.

The woman says she was pregnant but had her baby prematurely and a woman in Aji helped her during the delivery.
Senami asks who.

The woman says it doesn't matter; she just needs a birth certificate showing she gave birth at the clinic.
Senami says she didn't have the baby at the clinic so she will need to confirm some details.
The woman asks if Senami doubts that the baby is hers.

Senami asks how old the baby is.
The woman says 2 weeks
Senami asks where the baby is.
The woman says the bay is with her friend.
Senami asks if it's the same friend who aided in the delivery.

The woman says anyone who can help her in the delivery has become a friend.
Senami says it doesn't sound like she knows the person well.

The woman says she was told that Senami could help her.
Senami asks if her name was mentioned or she was just told that a doctor at the clinic could help.
She calls Dr. Jide on the phone to tell him about her woman.

He tells her to give the bloody woman what she wants and he will handle the details later
He hangs up.
Senami tells the woman she's sorry she can't
give her the certificate except she comes with
proof.

Fonton gets home and just before he opens the door, he hears Petunia asking Half-a-day if he thinks he can just 'Do' like that and zip up his pants.

He goes to the window to peep.
He sees Petunia sitting beside Half-a-day on the sofa.

Petunia asks Half-a-day why he just comes, satisfies himself and leaves.
He asks what she thinks.

She says she doesn't like how he speaks to her.
He says he also doesn't like how she's been acting childish lately.
He stands up and she grabs him by the waist asking where he's going.

He says he's going to work as black mamba is tired.
As he approaches the door, Fonton scuttles off to hide.
Neza comes to meet Seyive who is sitting outside the clinic brooding..

He asks what's wrong.
She saw she's thinking about Akweyon.
He asks why.
She asks if Akweyon took off the bandana from her mouth that day.

He says maybe Mausi came to take her.
Seyive screams.
Neza begs her to calm down and says it seems Akweyon has left Aji but they will find her.
He asks if anyone has mentioned seeing her in Aji.

Seyive says Kingsley asked after her.
Neza asks what he said.
She says Kingsley just asked why Akweyon doesn't like him.
He asks if Senami is inside the clinic.
She says Senami has gone out.

At night, Obi and Folake meet up with their bags, ready to leave.
The cab Folake called arrives but the driver pleads with her to let him drop someone off in the village first then come back for her and Obi.
Folake says she can't wait so they will have to take another cab.

The passenger in the backseat of the cab comes down and tells Obi 'It's you.'
Obi looks confused.

The passenger asks if 'Daddy' didn't send Obi his pictures as Daddy sent Obi's photos to them and that's how he is able to recognise Obi.
Obi asks if he's Chief's son.

The guy says yes and shakes hands with Obi.
