Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 95

Senami returns from her morning run.
She sits in the living room and holds her shoulder in pain.

Kingsley sees her and tries to help her massage the shoulder but she flinches.
He asks if she slept alright.
She says she did.
He says she must have a lot on her mind and
must have been thinking about what he said.
She says she slept fine.

She stands up to leave but he tries the massage again.
She says it's not a good idea.
He says they can be professional about it just as he didn't treat her like a pervert when she was examining him.

She allows him massage her shoulders.
He leans in close to her face from behind and asks if that's better.
She flinches again and says it is.
He leaves the room.
She calls Oviyon.

He says hello and she hangs up.
Otogan comes out of his place in the morning to see the servants are cleaning the compound in preparation for Obi's parents' visit.
Obi comes outside and Otogan asks when his parents are coming.

Obi says they are coming in the afternoon.
Senami is in the clinic with Matron.
Oviyon walks in.
Senami looks surprised at seeing his bruises.
She asks what happened to him.
He says Hi to her then tells Matron that he wants some pain killers.

Matron tells him to see the doctor.
Oviyon says he's not sure the doctor wants to see him.
Senami says the doctor wants to know why he's like this.
He says he got into a fight with some boys.
She tells him to come with her.
He asks if she meant to call this morning.
She says she might have sat on her phone as she didn't even know he was back in town.
He says he would have called earlier but wasn't sure she wanted to see him.
He asks if she did.

She suggests they talk in her office.
He follows her.
Fonton is dressed to attend an elders' meeting.
Petunia tells him that he looks like a chief now.
He says they will hear it at the meeting.
She puts his hat on and he leaves the house.

Shortly after, Half-a-day comes into the house to ask for Fonton.
Petunia says he just left.
He says he's supposed to follow him to the meeting.
She tells him that he's in too much of a hurry; he
should relax and have a cold beer.
She pats him and says he has boobs like a woman and she likes it.

He asks what's going on.
She says she has thought about it and asked herself if he was blind or doesn't see the green light in his path or his car has no fuel.

He hails her and she tells him to sit down and stop hurrying.
They've obviously done the deed and are fully dressed again.

He begs her to allow them do one more.
She says Fonton can come back home.
He asks if she think he's sacred of Fonton.
She says she likes him because he's wise wise an his boys are loyal and if Fonton can take over from Otogan, it will help their business.
He says they have to plan it well.

She tells him to hurry to the meeting.
He leaves.
Obi is with Otogan at the palace.
Otogan asks if he should send someone to the gate of Aji to pick his parents.

Obi says they can find their way.
Dr. Jide walks in and says he thinks he just saw Obi's parent outside.
A middle aged couple enter.
They hug Obi with too much excitement .
Otogan looks confused.

Senami gives Oviyon his prescription and tells him to get a lot of rest.
The little boy is watching Oviyon.
Oviyon tells Senami that she hasn't answered his question.

He asks if she really wants to see him.
She says she didn't get to see him so it doesn't matter matter as she knows where she stands.
He hands a her a bag of fruits and tells her it's a peace offering from Lagos.
She says asks if it makes up for all the things he said to her.

He says he knows he's been acting weird but he can explain.
She tells him to explain.
He says he has been seeing things; a little boy from the accident.
She asks what he's saying.

He says nobody else sees him and it's the boy he killed in Lagos; he follows him everywhere and he thinks he's getting used to it.
She asks if he can see the boy now.
Oviyon points to the boy standing behind Senami.
Senami jumps and looks behind her.

Otogan tells Obi's parents that Dubai is a beautiful place.
He mentions the Burj Khalifa and Obi's fake father says they didn't go there.
Otogan asks if they visited Dubai mall.
They say they didn't.

They break into weird laughter.
An embarrassed Obi says his parents have a weird sense of humour.
They all laugh.

Otogan asks how they met Obi.
His father says they saw him in Port Harcourt roaming about and took him in.
His mother said she didn't have any child when she saw Obi and he was like a gift from heaven.
Otogan says he's a gift to them all.

The mother starts crying and her husband joins in.
Obi is clearly irritated.
Dr. Jide says he's also getting emotional and wants to excuse himself.

He stands up and Obi says he will see him out.
The parents continue wailing.
Senami tells Oviyon to stop looking behind her as he's freaking her out.
She asks when it started.

He says when that child almost drowned in the river
She asks why he didn't say anything.
He asks how he would have said it.
She says he could have seen a doctor in Lagos as it's something psychological and the incident triggered old feelings of guilt and trauma.

He says what if that's not the case.
She says sometimes people see things when they have a tumor or some neurological condition so he needs to get checked out.
He says what if it's something entirely different.
She tells him not to start with anything superstitious.

He asks how she would explain how they escaped from Mausi as kids.
She says she blacked out.
He says these things are beyond science.
She asks if Mausi did anything to them.

He says it was what they did to Mausi.
She asks if he's going to say she (Senami) caused his hallucinations.
He says he is not fighting with her but trying to tell her what he's experiencing.

Obi meets Jide and asks if those are the parents he could get.
Jide says he expected gratitude.
Obi says his parents are supposed to be returning from Dubai but these ones don't look like they've ever been to a local airport.
Jide says the people are professionals so Obi should go back inside and play his part.
Obi says all this time he couldn't get better people.

Jide tells him to go back and finish the job they started and it's best they don't communicate with each other.

Senami asks Oviyon why he came back since she
is the cause of all his problems or does he have feelings for her?
He says he does have feelings for her.

She tells him he's just like his mother and the rest of the village; stuck in the past.
He says they are bound together.

She asks if they are meant to be together
because of something that happened when they were kids.
He says he's sorry he hurt her, he's sorry about
Peace and his mum.

She tells him to stop apologising as it won't fix it; he thinks they are soulmate but she thinks they are broken and it's stupid to think they can make it work.

He tries to calm her down.
She tells him to please go.
He says for what it's worth, he's really really sorry.

He leaves and she breaks down.
Folake sees Peace in the village and asks how she is.
Peace says says going to the market to buy things as she has a job now.

The town crier announces that the people who raised Obi are visiting today and there will be a feast.

Folake asks what he said.
Peace interprets.
Folake says she's going to get ready.
Peace asks if she and Obi are no longer fighting.
Folake says she's interested in what he's up to.
Senami returns home looking depressed.
Kingsley asks what happened.

She says it doesn't matter.
He says he already knows the answer.
He asks who would hurt someone so beautiful.
Senami surprises herself by kissing him.
She pulls back.

He goes back for the kiss they take it slow at first then it gets intense.
Kingsley takes off his shirt without breaking the kiss.

Senami also takes off her shirt.
