“You can’t be serious!” I said as we walked into the hospital. Stan Junior was getting discharged. The doctors saw no reason of keeping him around. He was fine. I looked at the security guards, even the one that was following behind us.

Henry: its for your own good.
He said, totally ignoring my gasps. I sighed. He wasn’t going to change his mind. I didn’t even know if he was protecting me from the person who kept sending the emails or the devil himself. I was uncomfortable with the whole set up but what could I do. I couldn’t even do anything at home because I was “pregnant.” The way I was treated was annoying but nobody listened to my tantrums. “Hormonal fluctuatuon” so they would say.

Me: I don’t see the reason for all this. You are just being extra for no reason.
Henry: your safety comes first Trisha! I’m not going to argue with you on that. Can you just stop?

I sulked muttering incoherent words beneath my breath. We got to the room where Stan Junior was. He was so cute. He reminded me so much of my father. I didn’t even realize tears had cascaded down my face until I felt a hand wipe them off. It was mom.
Me:I miss him..

I said quietly. I missed him. I did. Maybe I had ignored it but deep down I missed him so much.

Mom:we all miss him honey..
I would have probably said more but my eyes fell on the guard. I sighed. Henry was leaving today with Zenzele. I was a bit down. It felt like he was slipping from me when we just got each other again but I couldn’t stop him could I?

After a while we were walking out of the hospital. I had Stan Junior in my eyes. Looking at him and his tiny fingers made me want to have my child right away. I loved the way he smelt.

“Don’t worry sweetheart.. Soon it will be you.” Mom whispered from behind me. I smiled. I was going to be with mom for a while, helping her with Stan full time till Henry came back. I was planning on taking care of her really well especially after what happened. I still couldn’t believe it even happened in the first place. Fadz called me earlier, she couldn’t come to the hospital with us. I didn’t quite get her excuse but I wasn’t going to ask. She was with Zenzele I knew.

“If you get anonymous email again tell me..” Henry said. I hadn’t received any email lately.

Me:I would.. I promise.
Henry: Good. If anything happens call me.
I rolled my eyes.

Me:Henry I will call you if anything goes.. Wrong.

Henry: I love you.
Me: yeah.. Me too
He kissed me briefly and off he was gone. I sighed then walked back inside the house. As I walked my phone began vibrating. I took it out smiling. Probably it was Henry. Not that it was enough that he left a lot of guards. I answered even without looking.
Me: Henry what?
I started. It was silent.

Me: Henry not today please.. Not now..
There was silence again. I took off the phone off my ear. It was an unknown number.
Me:hello? If you..-

The call was then dropped. I swallowed. Before I could move there was a text.

MAYBE IT’S TIME TO MOVE THE GAME TO THE NEXT LEVEL!

I momentarily stopped breathing. This person was seriously playing mind games with me. I was stronger than that, I wasn’t going to be played like that.
