It was after midnight when we arrived back at home. No one was awake and I was pleased for that… Stella plainly refused to get in the house. She chose to spend the night at a nearby guest house.

I went into the room only to find her sleeping on the couch. I gently took her and placed her on the bed and slept on the couch. I woke up early morning before she woke up took a quick shower and went out to get a bottle before facing the family.

Mom: I knew the name Stella sounded familiar
Mom had said with disgust after she greeted. After everyone sat down the uncles started asking us questions. Trisha remained quite next to mom while I narrated about my bad deeds. I don’t know if pissed off could actually describe how dad felt. He was calm yet he was sweating and he want even sitting down. He long stood up when Stella entered.

Dad: I just can’t get over the fact that you lied to us about a big thing.

Me: I am sorry dad

Dad: don’t even say your useless apologies what do you take us for

Me: I didn’t think t would get to this

Dad: that’s just it henry, you never think… when have your ever thought in your life.

Uncle Thapelo: young lady how old are you

Stella: 24 years

Uncle Thapelo: since you had decided that you don’t want your child… what made want her back.

Stella: I think she is actually the best thing that ever happened to me… the past weeks when I have been with her I realized just how precious she is.

Mom: don’t you have any shame talking like that…

Stella: I am not saying you should change anything I just want to be a part of her live… she doesn’t even have to know that I am her real mother

Trisha: what?

Stella: Trisha… I was even considering being her nanny

Mom: are you crazy or stupid
Trisha just closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Uncle Montsho: you attempted to kill your father… why
Stella looked at me with a disturbed face

Mom: are you going to answer?
