Monica has not managed to convince her son about her true intentions concerning Melanie and her baby, but she assures Tobi she wants them to be near where she can be able to see her grandchild everyday, Tobi has no choice but accepts warning her that the slightest mistake his mother makes it the moment he realises that she’s not sincere, he shall do to her the unimaginable, it has been days and Mac has giving him a go ahead to take Mel home after being discharged, he had shared with her the fact that all of them will have to come home with him, Mel isn’t thrilled but she knows that’s the only way she’s going to earn her mother in-law’s respect and love……they were discharged at 2pm but Tobi slightly delayed coming to pick them up because he and were working on some private project……he finally came for them in the hospital and he’s so happy they are going to be staying together……. it was coming to 5pm when they headed home bringing along Mel’s Mum and aunt….. they all arrive home and the moment Tobi drove in, they could see a number of people were around, looks like there was a party going on in the house, Tobi is so confused he didn’t invite anyone….he packs the car at it’s usual spot

“Wait for me here” he opens the car and walks towards the house, it’s the first time Mel is here and her breath is taken away, the Pope’s mansion was definitely beautiful and breathtaking but it has nothing compared to do with this house, everything from the compound to the design of the house is just something one’s eyes can not have enough of, just to think that only two people live in this house is still unbelievable to Mel…., her mother sees her surprise and asks her
“Why are you looking as if it’s still your first time to be here” she reacts
“Because it’s my first time mum”
“Melanie don’t lie….didn’t you say you spent all those days here when you were left by Ron”

“Yes I spent all those days with him but not here…in his other house”
“It would have been better if he had taken us there instead, I don’t trust that witch” her aunt adds

“Aunty….how can you say that about Someone you don’t even know”
“Well I have seen her Mel, the day she came only to study our conditions in the hospital…. so disgusting”

“Stop it Jessy……believe it or not, the woman is kind enough just to allow us stay here”
“Oh Ofelia please, she’s just afraid she’s going to loose her son if she’s not careful……if not why would she refuse to come see Mel and the baby in the hospital after claiming to be Happy to have them at home…..she’s not for real….but she better not try any monkey business because, I shall give her double trouble”

“Stop it both of you” Mel gets mad at them
“Do you think I would have accepted to come here if the Doc didn’t say it was too risky for my baby to be in an environment like our home but please as we are here, we should bear with everything, we can’t have issues with the lady because this is her house and Tobi is not my husband yet” they both shut up at once……….

Tobi gets closer to the and he’s about to enter when Lisa sees her from across the other corner, she runs towards him and he stops waiting
“Good evening boss….welcome back but eeh….did you come alone, they have been waiting for all of you” he’s not getting it
“Who was waiting for us”
“The guests inside, Mum threw up and party to welcome her grandchild home”
“Whaaat….Mum did what?”
“There are media people too and….” Tobi did not wait for her to finish, he is so furious, he walks in and tries calming himself down on his way but he can’t control himself, the moment he got in there, he finds all sorts of business people, his mother’s old clients and some new ones, big big people in government offices, two media guys but the moment they see him, all of them look his direction, with some looking surprised he’s alone but others with looks that can’t be explained
“Welcome home son” Monica walks over to his side holding his hand, she pretends to be hugging him but leans closer to his ears to warn him

“You better forge a smile and tell them where the baby and mother Are and you better not lie about it…get rid of that ugly face” she gets away from him and they toast with her guests
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen, all of you are so much welcome to our humble Home…..I’m so glad you all came in large numbers to witness the arrival of my lovely daughter but home….” everyone starts looking at each other
“I’m so sorry I should have called my mum to let you all know the program has been canceled but as I’m talking right now…… my wife and baby are still in the hospital under close observation after the Doctor said he needed to some checkups on both of them…..” he pauses to see their faces and he liked the reaction
“You should continue with the party and nothing changes but you may excuse me, I can’t be with you…. I have been up and down all day and only need rest” he didn’t wait for them to reply as he finds and makes his way through to his room, he paused upstairs and watches as guys start putting glasses down, he’s liking this so it took less that ten minutes for all of them to leave Monica alone to her drinks…..she shoots daggers upstairs towards his son………
The crew inside the car are surprised all of a sudden seeing a huge number of people coming out of the house to their cars…..they are lucky Tobi had driven them somewhere deep in the compound, the people have no idea there were people inside……one by one all of them enter their cars and leave, there were six cars packed and as the last one left, they saw a woman in her fourtees standing, Mel sees her studying her from a far
“Is that not Tobi’s mum”
“Yep the bitter witch”
“Come on aunt, I just said we shouldn’t speak this way about her”
“You shall see for yourself”……..
Tobi drops his bag on the bed and proceeds to go out calling for Lisa when he found no body in the living room, Lisa came running asking if she’s needed for some work
” You called me”
“Yes….you forget one thing, another room….we need and extra room”
“I’m going to take care of it Right away”
“Put on mind you’re fixing it for me” Lisa is beginning to look like she wants more clarity on this…….
Monica comes back into the room as Tobi has finished telling Lisa what to do
“Lisa excuse herself..we need to talk” Lisa walks away hurriedly
“Mother what’s it….what happened’
” You bastard how could you even ask that Tobi.. what was the meaning of what you just did, those guys were so disappointed in us…..why did you make me go through all the trouble only for you to do this to us ”
“Mum, I have no idea why you’re being all worked up here, but I came with Melanie and the baby, they are in the car, all they need is to rest and not some noisy party”
“Why then didn’t you tell me earlier, I should have stopped them coming”
“No no no……you did well so why think otherwise…. they ate, drunk themselves and were enjoying themselves…but my wife needs yo sleep” his mother just shakes her head unbelievably he leaves her there and walks out to get Mel and the rest………
They all get into the big mansion, Ofelia looks around the house fearfully, it’s not a secret that the inside of the house is even more beautiful than the outside, they stand with Jessy holding the baby and Monica so gloomy on seeing them
“Good evening mum” Mel greats
“Melanie… I guess” she looks her up to her
“You’re welcome, all of you to my home….where is my grandchild…
my daughter, where is she” she changes to happy mode making All around her so shocked
“Please feel at home, whatever you may need don’t hesitate to tell me…. I have been so impatiently waiting for you and now that you’re here, my heart is joyous….may I Melanie
” Sure you can ” she looks at her Mum Ofelia as she gives into the hug” everyone is suspiciously watching Monica..
“You’re very most welcome into the family Melanie”……
