After the call, Dave checked the time and it was 7:10pm. He was having mixed feelings as he remembered the conversation he had with Abies;

Abies: “hello my love, how are you doing?”

Dave: “i’m doing great oh.”

Abies: “But you know what you are doing is not fair sha oo”

Dave: “i don’t understand”

Abies: ” You have called My dad and sis since u got to the city, but you’ve not so much as texted me. Am i a hindrance or a burden or someone that you don’t even care about?”

Dave’s conscience was already whipping him so he started apologising and making promises upon promises just to appease her. They said their goodbyes and ended the call.

Dave got up from his bed and went to the bathroom and washed his face with water to remove whatever sleep 2aused. On getting to the dining, he found a maid setting the table. This will be the first time he’ll be seeing a maid in his uncle’s house, as his wife always takes care of everything.

She was backing him and her massive bakasi was facing him. She was a lil bit slim and her bakasi appeared as the odd thing.

He coughed to let her know someone was behind her and she turned, squatted and greeted him, shyly. Dave only just smiled at her and went to the sitting room and sat on a couch, and put on the tv. MTV Base was the station that came up and Chris brown n nicki minaj n lil wayne- ONLY was playing and Dave was kinda like surprised or rather shocked that a human being who has massive a-s and boobs like nicki can just go around showing it to the whole world and be proud bout it. Well, such is life. He changed it and came accross nickelodeon where Spongebob squarepants is showing. A smile crept in on his face and he just kept wondering how two friends. can be just so foolish BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER.

His uncle nd co. Soon came out and sat down at the dining for their dinner. There was a very loud silence playing there until his aunt yelled the maid’s name:
“Aminat. Aminat”
“yes ma” the maid said out of breath, obviously she hurried down to the dining.
“what were you doing, you this lazy girl? Go and bring a can of fruit juice for me joor… Mtcheew” his aunt said.

“ok ma, right away ma.” the maid replied.
Dave wasn’t surprised because he knew what he faced when he was still living in the house. His uncle was just as quiet about it, just like he was years ago when dave was involved. The only thing he could say was: “honey, take it easy”. Well his uncle wasn’t a weakling but he just wanted to please his wife in everything he does.

There was a time Dave mistakenly broke a plate he was washing and his aunt took koboko(which she bought just for him) and beat him mercilessly. When Dave saw his uncle coming towards them owing to the screams from his mouth, he was relieved, thinking she would be scolded or something like that. But to his utmost dismay, his uncle upo n hearing the reason for the beating, landed two hot slaps on his face and scolded him seriously. But when h is wife left the room, he began to pet dave and told him he was sorry for the pain he was receiving.

-back to present-
Dave retired to his r6om, pulled off his clothes, on the a.c and slept off.
Early the next day, Dave received a call from his friend asking for them to see and discuss.

-hours later-
On getting to the location, he met him drinking from a glass of wine and after exchanging pleasantries, they started talking in length, and Dave told him everything that had being happening to him up to this very moment. Then dave was asked a shocking yet truthful question: “what are you going to do with your life? The king must die one day, right? When that happens, what becomes of you?
