CATHY’S POV.
Waking up in a hospital ward and finding out I had some mental disorder known as Schizophrenia was disorienting but I was glad the disease could be cured.
Apparently, Rodgers had tipped the police off concerning my whereabouts and what I was planning on doing to Nancy and Cynthia. When the police arrived at the warehouse, I had panicked and stabbed myself, that’s how I had found myself in this hospital ward.
The police upon learning about my condition decided they couldn’t arrest me and I went for treatment, rehabilitation to be precise. And Cynthia was put on the tranquilizers cause her condition was better when compared to mine.

After a whole year, Cynthia and I were completely healed and we decided to turn on a new leaf in our lives.
“Let’s go pay our last respects to everyone.” said Cynthia one day.
“That’s a good idea.” I enthusiastically replied.

And together, Cynthia and I went on a graveyard expedition, leaving the twins with Agnes at home.

On mum’s grave, I said, “Mother, I miss you so much but I know you’re in a better place now. Your daughters have now made up, they are now the best of friends. I’ve been through a lot to get here, mother. But am glad in the end, all is well.”
On Jason’s, “My love, am so sorry for all that I did to you. Apparently, I was suffering from some disease that disoriented my way of reasoning and as a result, I ended up doing what I did to you. Am I miss you and still love you. I hope your soul rests in peace.”

On dad’s, “My lovely father, this whole mess began with the land issue but am more than happy that all is well now. But there’s one thing that’s bothering me, the guilt and emptiness that am now feeling….”

On Nancy’s. “Nancy, my dearest cousin. You died a terrible death and am to blame. I know I can’t reverse the past but I’ll still ask for your forgiveness. Am so sorry, cousin. Concerning your son, I phoned the orphanage yesterday and they told me he has been adopted by a well to do God fearing family so you can rest assured knowing your son’s in safe hands.”

On Mr. Banda senior’s who had met with a terrible accident the day I had murdered Nancy, I said, “You’re partly to blame for this but I’ll ask for your forgiveness nonetheless. I won’t justify my actions so I’ll just ask for you to forgive this sinner.”
On Justin’s. “My beloved brother in-law, please forgive your sinful sister in-law.”
Hand in hand, Cynthia and I walked out of the cemetery.

That evening, Agnes, the twins, Cynthia and I flew to Spain where we would start our lives afresh. On the plane, Cynthia said, “I never thought the day would come when you and I would be on good terms.”
I smiled. “Neither did I.”

A week later…
Agnes, the twins, Cynthia and I were at San Sebastian beach.

Cynthia and the twins were seated under a huge umbrella eating ice cream. Agnes was flirting with some Spanish dude and I was lying on the sand, face up, sunbathing. I was clad in a pink bikini, my plastic mask on, hiding my disfigured face. I had plans of going for facial plastic surgery asap.
