“Cathy,” said Cynthia on the other end of the line, “we are where you asked us to be but we can’t see anyone here.”
“Relax dear sister. You see that container of water on your right hand side?” I asked.
Cynthia and Nancy were now in the warehouse where I had lured them to. I was hiding in a different room with the unconscious twins so Cynthia and Nancy couldn’t see me.

“Yeah,” said Nancy. Cynthia’s phone was on loud speaker. “What should we do with it?”

“Drink it.” I flatly replied.
“And if we don’t?” said Cynthia.
“Then kiss the one chance of seeing your kids alive goodbye.” I said at once.
“There’s no need to threaten us.” said Nancy almost immediately, “we are willing to do anything for our kids.”
“Oh how nice of you guys.” I scoffed. “Now drink the d--n water!”
Peering through the slit in the door, I could clearly see Cynthia and Nancy hesistantly go over to where the container was, crouch down and take sips.

Minutes later, both of them were lying on the floor, unconscious.

When they woke up, they found themselves tied to two chairs. I had tied them in such a manner that neither could escape and they had their backs facing each other.
“Where are my babies?” was the first thing Cynthia asked when she regained consciousness.

From where I was standing, I said, “I’ve told you already, I have a soft spot for your sons so you can rest assured knowing they are perfectly fine.”

Nancy spoke up on the other side. “How did you survive that fire? Mable, Cathy or whatever it is that you call yourself!”
I walked over to where she was tied so that she and I were now face to face. An apple in my hands. “You know,” I quietly said, “since I started my quest of vengeance, you are the first that has asked me this question and I’ll gladly tell you the tale.”

I took a deep sigh and sat on four-legged chair so that I was seeing both Cynthia and Nancy’s sides.

“When you four left me for dead in that cabin almost two years ago,” I begun, glancing from Cynthia to Nancy, “some good Samaritan saved my life. May the Lord bless his soul. I discovered I had been in a comma for four months and that I had lost a child whilst in the comma. Jason’s and my child. And then I found out my face was disfigured.” I paused and said. “Speaking of disfigured faces, here’s what I mean.” I took off the plastic mask and made sure both Cynthia and Nancy stared at my face. “So, when I was released from the hospital, I went straight to what was once my home. But I was more than shattered to find out mum had died. You guys literally murdered her.

Nancy, you killed your aunt and Cynthia, your own mother! And then that’s when the feeling of revenge begun……”

I went on and explained all that had happened later. When I was done, both of them were silent.

“Aren’t you guys gonna say something?!” I snapped, pushing my chair backwards and angrily standing up.

“We are sorry,” said Nancy warily, a single tear escaping her eyes. “For everything.”
“You’re sorry?” I asked, not believing my ears. “This is unbelievable! Nancy, being sorry won’t change anything!”
“So will killing us.” said Cynthia abruptly.
I walked over to where she was and knelt down before her. “You’re the worst sister on earth!” I said through gritted teeth. “And you are wrong to think killing you guys won’t change a thing. To me, it’ll make a difference. I’ll rest assured knowing all those that had hurt me are now six feet under!”

“Cathy,” said Cynthia, staring me straight in the eyes. “Am sorry, I truly am. Nancy and I are more than ready to hand you the company on a silver platter. Just hand us our kids and we’ll never cross paths with you again, I promise!”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “You don’t get it, do you?” I said. “Am no longer interested in your goddamn company. All I want is to see you guys dead!” I stood up, walking to the centre of the room and spreading my hands like I were about to embrace someone. “Power is sweet but revenge is sweeter!” I ominously said.
Silence.

“Now, which one of you would like to die first?” I asked, putting a cauldron on a brazier which was ablaze. I poured some water in the cauldron.
