And then I got flashes of the fire engulfing my body, the doctor telling me I had had a miscarriage, seeing my disfigured face in the mirror, finding out mum had died due to my disappearance, recalling how whilst in the gang I was forced to have sex with the male members whenever they were h---y….

And then the feeling of revenge came boiling up stronger than ever. I had just let Jason use me again and that wasn’t going to repeat itself.

Smirking, I spiked his water and took it to him. He was putting on his shoes when I arrived.
“Here’s you water.” I said, handing him the glass of water.

Without saying a word, Jason got the water from my hands and drank it in one gulp. “Thanks, Mable.” he casually said, placing the empty glass on a small table. “For everything.” he added, pronouncing the word, ‘everything’, with emphasis.

I flashed an evil smile. “No problem.”
Jason grabbed his jacket and pecked my lips. “I gotta go.” he hurriedly said, briskly striding toward the door.

He had just reached the doorway when he stopped in his tracks, turning and facing me.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.

Jason toppled over, leaning against the wall for balance.

“My head,” he quietly said. “I feel weird.”

“Do you now?”
“Yes. Everything’s hazy and spinning. It’s like-”

“Someone has spiked your drink?” I asked him.

Jason glared at me with semi closed eyes and muttered. “Cathy, you b---h!” and he slid against the wall and spread-legged, lay on the cold floor.

I heaved a deep sigh, how he figured I was Cathy, I didn’t care but his doom was coming.

When Jason regained consciousness, he was lying on the bed, naked and his legs and left arm tied to it. I had left his right one untied for a special purpose.

I was playing Taylor Swift’s, “We Are Never Getting Back Together” on my phone and singing along mockingly.

“What do you want from me?” Jason snapped, disturbing my singing.
I paused the song and stood up. Clad in ripped jeans and pink croptop, I spun around so that I could flaunt my behind in Jason’s face.
“Jason,” I calmly said, “you’re a big fool. I hope you know that.”

He didn’t respond, instead he was glaring at my face. I still had the plastic mask on.
“You left this,” I scoffed, pointing at my hips, “for that plasma hipped Nancy? No matter, that’s not why we are here.”
Jason sighed. “What do you want from me?”

I couldn’t help but laugh. I grabbed a chair and pulled it closer to the bed and sat.
“Do I really need to spell it out loud?” I said, glaring at Jason with contempt written in my eyes. “Revenge. What else if not that?”
“Cathy,” Jason said, glaring at me as well, “you got your revenge. You kidnapped my son and murdered my brother. Speaking of my son, what did you do to him?”
I smiled. “I dumped him in a pit-latrine.” I flatly lied.

“You b---h!” said Jason angrily, trying to free himself from the chains that were binding him to the bed. “You’ll rot in hell!”
“But you’re going there first, my love.” I mockingly said, taking off the plastic mask so as to expose my disfigured face.

Upon seeing it, Jason looked away. Pissed, I tossed his head in my direction so that we were now face to face.

“You see this scar?” I asked. “You are responsible for it. So are you responsible for my mother’s death, our unborn child’s miscarrige, my-”

“Did I just hear you say our unborn child’s miscarriage?” said Jason incredulously, cutting me short.

“Yes, Jason. The fruit of our love. But thanks to the lot of you, I ended up in a comma and the fetus died. You wanna know how I became Mable Sakala?
