It had been over fifteen minutes since I’d arrived at Jason’s place. I was waiting for him outside the gate as there was no one inside. I had tried giving Jason a call but his line was engaged.

The weather was a bit chilly and my outfit wasn’t helping. For the third time, I dialed Jason’s line and it went through.
“My love.” said Jason after a few rings.
“Jason,” I said frowning, “it’s cold out here ka. Where are you?”
“Am almost home. Was stuck in traffic, sorry.”

“It’s fine. I’ll be waiting, love you.”
“Love you more.”

A few minutes later, Jason’s car pulled up right in front of me. He opened the door for me and I jumped in.
“It’s been a hectic day.” He sighed, kissing me softly on the lips and opening the gate using his remote control.

“Same as mine.” I heaved a sigh as well, leaning back in my seat.
“Where are Justin and your dad?” I asked Jason as he ushered me into the living room.
“Dad’s in Livingstone,” he briskly said, placing his briefcase on the ravishing glass table that stood a few feet from where I was seated, “Justin’s out of town. Business meeting.”

Jason unbuttoned his shirt and loosened his necktie. He then sat next to me, opened his briefcase and retrieved the documents.
“Here,” he said, handing me the papers, “take a look at them.”
“Thanks.”

I took the papers from Jason’s hands and took a glance at them. The first page talked about the Banda company getting 5% interest from the loan they were lending to the Chilumba company. I flipped the paper, more complicated English. After a minute or so, I snapped it shut.

“Pen?” I said, extending my hand so that Jason could place a pen on it.
Jason eyed me incredulously. “Cathy,” he said tentatively, “you’ve only read one page!”

“Jason,” I tersely said, leaning back in my seat, “The language in these papers’ too complex for me to understand. Besides, I trust you.”

Jason pulled me into an embrace. “Maybe we should wait till tomorrow so that your lawyer’s present when you sign the papers.”

I shook my head. “He’s going out of the country first thing tomorrow morning. Just give me the pen already!”
“Alright.” Jason said, raising his hands in surrender and handing me a pen.

Smiling, I signed all the papers. “Done!” I announced as soon as I was done.
“Good,” said Jason curtly, “the papers will be reviewed tomorrow-”
“Shhh.” I whispered, my forefinger on his lips. “Did you say we are alone in this house?”
He nodded.

I began to undress him. I was unzipping his pants when Jason held both my hands.
“Cathy, what are you doing?”
“Jason,” I said, frowning, “am 24! I know what am doing. Now just keep quiet and let mama take care of you.”
I leaned in and began snogging Jason like my entire life depended on it. I wasn’t this wild but at this moment, I just wanted to be one with Jason.
