The killers guild - Season 1 - Episode 50

The annual BTAS is finally here at Evergreen’s high. A party was organised to celebrate the event.Everyone was having a good time at the party, everyone except for Paul, who sat alone, away from the crowd. Anxiety was clearly written in his eyes.

Two men walked past him and started a conversation.

“Paul is looking quite edgy tonight, more than usual. “The man says.

“Since Mr Jefferson is now out of the game, he actually stands a ‎chance of winning this thing. That’s why he’s looking so anxious.”The other man says, as they walk away.

“Alright, alright let’s have another shot.” Zach was saying .

“One…two…three.” Zach, Jade and Isabella cheered, as they each emptied the content of their glasses in one gulp.

“That’s your fifth shot tonight guys, I think that’s enough.” Tony says.
“Can I just have one more?” Jade says, pouring herself another glass.

“That’s enough Jade.” Tony says.
Jade reluctantly, returned the glass.
“Why must you always act like a fun sponge Tony?”Zach says.‎

“I was just looking out for you guys.” Tony says.

“Too bad Jennifer couldn’t make it.” Isabella said.

“Yeah, she would have love to come but she has to look after Johnny.” Zach was saying. “Tony look who’s here.” He says, his gaze on the entrance.

Tony turned around to see who it was, lo and behold, it was none other than Lizzy.

She walked over to them and greeted them.
“Hey Tony. How are you.” She says .
“I’m fine, how have you been.” Tony Says.
“I’ve been doing quite alright.” She says.
She looked quite sober and Tony felt sorry for her, after all he used to love her.

“Hey Lizzy, where’s Hank, is he here with you.” Zach says.

“I fired him and I’ve gotten a new driver.” Lizzy says. “Listen Tony I’m really sorry about the incident. I don’t know what came over me.” She was saying.

But Tony cuts in and says. “Isabella meet Lizzy, she’s my ex-girlfriend . Lizzy this woman here is Isabella and she’s my wife to be.”
Isabella extends her hand and says. “Nice to meet you ma’am.”

But Lizzy ignored her and went straight to her knees. “Tony please forgive me, I know you’re still angry about that incident but I’m begging you, please don’t do this to me. I love you Tony. I love you.” Lizzy’s voice was rising and she was starting to attract people’s attention.

“Oh my, this is embarrassing.” Zach says. “Go Tony, Don’t worry, I will clean up this mess.” He says to Tony.

Tony held Isabella’s hand and walks away.
But Lizzy kept shouting. “Please, forgive me. I love you.”

“What do you mean, you love me? You know I’m already married.” Zach says to Lizzy after Tony and Isabella had left.

Lizzy eventually got up on her feet, she was too ashamed to stay, after the scene she had caused, so she left.

(A couple of minutes later)
The Principal was addressing the crowd, after discussing about the school’s future plans and ambitions. Awards were given to various staffs, based on one factor or the other.‎

“And now the moment everyone’s been waiting for. The presentation of awards to the best teachers at Evergreen high shall now commence.” The Principal says.‎

“We shall start with the female category.” He says.

The chairman of the occasion, came up and gave the name of each nominees, after which he says. “And the award for the best Female teacher here at Evergreen high goes to.” He paused. As the whole crowd chanted. “Mrs Kennedy.”

“And the winner is Mrs Kennedy.”
A huge round of applause was given as the woman walked up to the stage to receive her award.

“And now for the male category.” The principal says.

The chair lady came out and gave a short speech, after which she stated the nominees.
“And the winner is…..” She paused.
“Doveman! Doveman!! Doveman!!!” The whole crowd chorused. Teachers, Parents and students alike.

The woman presenting the award was shocked, as the so called Doveman was not among the nominees.

“And the winner is Paul Mick.”
The crowd neither applauded nor cheered, only a few did.‎

“Yes!” Paul screamed as he ran up the stage to collect the award.

“Now it’s time for the overall best teacher’s award, as we all know the position of the Vice-Principal of this school is currently vacant.‎ So the management have agreed on the fact that the position will be given to whoever bags this award. I hereby call on Mr Jefferson to come up here and please do the honours.” The Principal says.

Tony stood up from his seat and a round of applause follows as he went up to the stage.
“I’m deeply grateful for this honour sir, I would have loved to express my gratitude more but I’ll just cut to the chase, I wouldn’t ‎want to bore anyone to sleep.” Tony says and the crowd laughed.

“Well, the overall best teacher is…”Tony unfolds the card in his hand and looked up with a smile on his face.

“And the winner is….”‎
