Unbreakable Love - Season 1 - Episode 11

*Feelings are much like waves, we can’t stop them from coming but we can choose which one to surf. When you meet someone special, you will know. Your heart will beat more rapidly and you will smile for no reason*

It had been two months when he broke up with Bianca. Finally he managed to forget about her. It was not an easy ride but spending time with Adela, laughing and cracking jokes with her. He finally healed. Stevie soon talked to his father about the issue of Adela going to school. He also agreed but the two men decided to keep the issue to themselves not to tell Angela, Stevie’s mother. Adela was still working as a maid but Angela didn’t like her. She never appreciated everything she did for the family.

“I hate poor people,” she always said to Gloria and Adela.

The two ladies didn’t mind her. They had already gotten used on being mistreated by Angela.

It was around 6pm on Saturday when Adela walked out of the gate. It was a half day for her. She wasn’t supposed to be working on Saturday but Angela had called her to come in since Gloria was not feeling well. Stevie had gone on a business trip to Gweru and Saturday being his 6th day away from home.

Anyway as she was walking a car stopped right in front of her. It wasn’t that dark but in her situation I am sure most of you will understand how she felt. Imagine a car stopping in front of you. How would you feel? What do you do? As for Adela she felt paralyzed. She didn’t move. Her emotional brain had already begun to respond along paths. The slower but more thoughtful path caused her to feel afraid and allowed her to begin analysing her situation, trying to create alternative responses. She took the short cut to her house. It was a dust road, a few cars used to passby. Even if she were to shout, no one was going to hear her. She was in the middle of a forest. The car was black with tinted glass. She had heard many stories on how girls had been raped before they cut their private parts. She swallowed hard trying to calm her heartbeat.
Finally a man dressed in a black suit got out of the car. This is where she got the thought of running away but before she could do so. He turned to face her. She let out a scream and ran towards him. She ran into his arms and he almost fell. She hugged him tightly as if her life depended on him.

“I was so scared I am so happy to see you,” she said loudly.
“I told you not to use this road. It’s dangerous.”
“I was tired and I wanted to get home. I thought of using this road, it’s short.”
“Okay! Anyway I saw you then I turned around. I missed you very much.”
“I missed you too,” she said smilingly, extremely happy to see him.
“I want to show you something. Get inside,” he opened the car door for her.

She got inside and he drove off. After twenty minutes he parked his car after the gateman opened it for him. They walked inside the house after he unlocked it.

“Wow!” that was her first word when she made a step inside the house. “This is beautiful. Whose house it is?”
“Mine!” he said with a smile. “I am moving out tomorrow in my parents’s house. I am a grown up now and need some privacy. There is also something,” he gazed at her.
“What is it?”
Dropping his keys onto a table, he took off his jacket and tossed it over the back of a large black leather sofa. Unable to keep her eyes off him, she watched as he loosened his tie and unbuttoned the top of his shirt. She had to force to look away.
“Come sit!” He took his hand and she sat on the sofa.

He switched on the radio.
“I want to sing for you.”
“What?!” she laughed teasingly.
“Yes. The song was sang by Chris Brown, titled Yo in brackets (Excuse me Miss). I will just clear my throat. The song goes like this and the first verse,” he began to sing.

STEVIE SINGING.
“Whoa whoa do do do Yeah Yeah
Tell me fellas have you seen her? It was about five minutes ago.

When I see the hottest chick that you and I had never seen before. Or should I talk about her smile? Or what about her style?

I am out of time. She is out the door I got to go for mine. Now shorty grab hold of my hand (He took her hand and they started dancing). And let’s pretend the floor is ours. You say you don’t really dance. Baby it’s so romantic.
Baby I can be in your heart. So many things I want to tell you. I think that I should start by saying…,” he stopped singing.

He brushed her braids back from her face, sending waves of delicious s£nsat!on all over her. It was as if a bond was forming with each gentle caress of his hands and each soft word. He was pulling her towards him. Without another word he pulled her against him, holding her so close she could hear his heart thumping as widly as hers. Was he aware of what was happening? Did he also feel as if he was wading out to sea, getting deeper and deeper, unable to turn back to the safety of shore?

“I spend hours looking through lyrics and quotes to find the words that I cannot say,” his voice was husky.

She smiled a genuine smile.
