Sharon - Season 2 - Episode 10

Ever since then, I’m not sure what I have been doing except worrying about Sharon and her relationship with me. It took luck and some home reading for me to pass our mid term C/A.

“So you are just going to sit here and read till your mum shows up”. I asked her.
” Run along mate, I’m not complaining “. She said facing her ” one good turn” Novel.
“But you’re enjoying my company”. I flattered then she turned towards me.
” Do you want your Road dog and his gang to leave you behind? It’d be for your own good though “. She smirked. I bade her goodbye and walked out.

When I got out of the gate my friends were all seated on the pavement chatting and laughing, once they saw me they got up.
” wizzy wizzy, the baddest”. Kingsley whined and I blushed. Bully sneaked up from my back and shoved me hard that I hit the ground immediately, I was shocked and surprised as well but the others just laughed. He gave me a hand and I grabbed then he pulled me up.

“Always be on guard bro”. He said and patted My shoulder. That was when I understood what was going on, they just played a fast one on me. It was a usual routine we always did that to know how ready we were for anything. It was the first time I’m being on the receiving end and trust me mine was the most merciful. Others once they’re caught off guard and they hit the ground, gets a random beating or Stomping from all. Chisom and Bully were the two, that were frequently caught off guard. Definitely this pardon was influenced by Kelvin, as he was always the one to pick who we’d surprise. And he decided to put me on the list the day he knew I’d be surprised the most.
“No sleeping on Bicycle”. They all chanted and I smiled at Kelvin, he winked at me too.
” Omo that LT dey do you something oh”. Melody teased and they laughed.

“See as you just dey shine teeth no even come know say Bully dey you back”. He teased again and we all laughed. Kelvin was just smiling.

” For una mind una don whine me nah”. I said dusting my jacket. They all kept Taunting me about Sharon and how carried away I’d become since she came into the picture. Meanwhile I was just thinking of how it’d have been if Sharon had witnessed me being shoved to the ground like that, what her reaction could be. Kelvin advised that despite how happy the moments have become we should never get too carried away, I knew that lecture was for me personally. Dude was never in the man o war or boys scout so, often times I imagine where he’d learn all this leading speeches from.

“Oh boy make I observe this your thing”. Stanley said trying to touch my headband and I knocked off his hand aggressively to the others amusement.

” Abobi leave him Love property oh”. Melody said and they all laughed. It was peaceful trek today, we didn’t look for any trouble because of Kingsley’s condition and likewise trouble didn’t find us. When we all separated and it was just me and Kelvin, we got talking.

“Senior boy”. He praised me and we shook hands.

” So, how was your first day as a Boyfriend like?”. He asked.

“Easier than I thought”. I shrugged and he patted my shoulder.
“See? Not everything is so difficult”.
” I agree with you on that one”. We both laughed. I explained to him how nervous I was in the morning, how I felt their was some special things I was supposed to be doing as a boyfriend and I didn’t do any.

“Well there are things you could’ve done not necessarily actually but it counts. The only special thing you have to always do is to care for her and make her know it”. He said and I laughed uneasily.

” oh I know you’re not good at that but you can always learn. I know you like her, she knows that too but, you should always remind her”. He continued.

“So, I should always make sure I tell her I care about her is that it?”. I asked confusedly and he laughed.

” Not just telling her, you don’t always have to tell her but by your actions she should always know you care. Like our social studies teacher always say; action speaks louder than words”. He concluded.

It’s always easy to learn but, hard to practice for me. I understood him perfectly, even if he didn’t tell me. I always saw how he behaved towards ugochi, I always envied him for that. No matter how fierce and dangerous he looked when is with us, he was always calm to the nerves when with his girl. It’d be impossible for me to be like him even though then I somehow looked up to him.
“Well it’s good I still have you here”. I said and he nodded. I asked him if he meant what he said to Sharon about trekking with us, he laughed. He said he didn’t mean it but it wouldn’t be bad if She does.
” The Day she does, ugo will too”. I said and he laughed. We kept chatting till he took another route then I went home in a fly mode.
