[Dread House]
The Adams siblings celebration ended immediately the team loss was announced. They both returned to their rooms to sulk.
Now, all chances of ever moving to the top has been blocked. Chances of taking their parents out of poverty with their increased pays has been blocked to. They’ll have to wait two more months for the third tournament to see if they’ll continue being a part of this team.
In silent sorrow, they stayed in the corners of their rooms.
Quincy picked up his phone at a point and texted Skylar.
Quincy: We lost.
She replied after a minute.
Long Legs: I know, and I’m happy.
Quincy smiled sadly.
Quincy: Of course you are. You hate this team anyways, and wherever you are, just stay there and cherish your peace. You deserve the freedom.
Long Legs: Are you good? What about your unlikable sister?
Quincy: We’re good. But Rosita has been locked in the Cage of Shame.
Long Legs: Her mother Locke her up. It’s a family issue.
Quincy chuckled.
Quincy: Right. And cheers to your peace and freedom.
Skylar: Cheers.
Immediately Quincy dropped the phone, a Dread Army entered.
Quincy got up.
“Any problem?”
“You and your sister are needed at Boss Satan’s office.”
Quincy followed the Army out. Renee was already waiting outside, so they proceeded to the office together.
Satan was with Midnight, as expected, but then there’s also Roy.
The smell of loss lingered in the air, mixing with the stench of fury coming from Midnight and Satan.
The siblings stopped in the middle.
“Was Roselle in love with El Crow?” Satan asked. “And listen…you can only answer once and make sure you don’t lie to me!”
Renee looked at Quincy, and their uncertainty sheened in their eyes as they stared confusedly.
Quincy swallowed.
“Was Roselle in love with El Crow before her dead?!” Midnight snapped.
“Y..yes!” Renee stuttered. “We once saw Roy consoling her when she was crying before Skylar told her about how she touched El Crow.”
“That’s….that’s right,” Quincy stuttered too. “Roselle was very head over heels for him. And Roy was very aware of this fact.”
“How stupid do you think I am?” Roy laughed suddenly. “Consoling a girl who liked something else?”
“You were in love with Roselle, Roy,” Quincy said. “Everyone knew.”
“Stop lying!!!” Roy spranged up, facing Satan and Midnight. “They’re lying! They’re Skylar’s associates. Of course they hate me for coming back alive because I once made them go down on each other!”
“You did?” Satan burst out laughing, standing immediately.
“I and Roselle did it, actually,” Roy said. “So they hate me.”
“I wish I watched it,” Midnight said. “I’ve always liked the idea of incest.”
“Me too,” Satan added. “But this ain’t time for plays. Get the two of them to join Rosita in the Cage of Shame.”
“What!!” The siblings chorused.
“We’re saying the truth!” Quincy shouted. “Roselle was in love with…
Midnight already slapped him before he could finish. His tongue got hooked between his teeth, bruising.
“Quincy!” Renee gasped.
“Continuously lying against my dead daughter?” Satan snarled. “You’d wish you never tried it. Take them!”
The siblings were dragged away, and Midnight gave Satan a knowing glance which made her sit.

[Jethro’s House]
Again, Jethro emerged from his lab with a bigger smile on his face this evening. With pocketed hands, he stepped out of the dimension and met Agatha waiting in front of it.
He paused, clicking his tongue.
“You do know that what you’re waiting to witness in this house will never happen, right?”
“We only have to wait to know, right?” Agatha boldly said.
Jethro laughed dryly. “You’ve always been interesting, Agatha. That’s the major reason you’re still alive. I’m eagar to see how long you’d scream when I start torturing you after I get my powers back soo…”
Agatha went silent, and Jethro walked past her.
“We’ve searched the whole city, sir. No sign of the released kids,” his men reported from the entrance.
“The kids are still in this city!” Jethro yelled, picking a porcelain by the center table and crashing it on the head of the guards leader.
He went down straight. No draw of breaths or anything. He died on the spot, inside his own blood pool.
The rest of the guards shifted back as Jethro’s grim eyes found them.
“Carry out another search! I need everything to come together soon!”
“Yes sir!” They answered and rushed out before he’d unleash on them.
Jethro faced Agatha.
“Clean this body up,” he ordered.
“Young Miss is not in her room, sir,” Agatha reported.
Jethro frowned.
“Bella left this house?”
“Seems like that,” Agatha answered.

[Marisa’s Manor]
“When will Charlotte’s flight land in this city on Friday?” Marisa asked, delicately holding her coffee mug as she descended the staircase that led to the long corridor with her stewards behind her.
“7PM at night, Ma,” the female responded. “And it’s supposed to be unknown to anyone in this city. She’s loved globally, so people might flank the airports just to see her.”
“Just to see a fake?” Marisa scoffed, pausing by the middle wall.
“But that was the update last night though,” the male said. “Today, that update had been changed.”
“So what’s the new update?” Marisa faced him over a shoulder.
“We’re still trying to find that out, Ma,” the female said.
“Find it out as soon as possible!” Marisa snarled crankily. “And whenever her arrival will be, share it and let people know! She deserves to be choked to death in the airport!”
“As you wish, Ma.” They bowed.
Then, they heard a loud, sick crash in front of the manor.
The stewards exchanged glances, but Marisa didn’t wait.
She dropped her mug and led the way outside, kicking the door open only to meet a car waiting.
“The fake parents car?” The female steward said. “That’s the car you gave them for their job!”
The male ran to the car and pulled the door open without thinking.
The bodies of the parents fell out, and he instantly jumped back.
“What the…heck!”
The female covered her mouth with her palm tightly.
Marisa’s eyes widened a bit as she walked to the two bodies that looked like they struggled till death judging by the reddish-purple marks rounding their necks and wrists and the open part of their stomachs.
Marisa’s eyes twisted back up.
“She found out,” she muttered.

[Carehouse]
El Crow easily halted the car in the spacious parking lot, killing the engines before hopping out.
From the other side, Skylar hopped out too, wearing a cropped top and a loose knee-level jean pants.
After they did the truck kitchen stocking, they’ve gone to get her wears too since she didn’t want to return to Dread House to pick anything up at all.
Her top today says… RELEASED.
She entered side-by-side with El Crow who wouldn’t stop stealing glances at her as if he wasn’t with her all day.
The moment they got to the kids quarters, the kids got up from whatever they were doing.
The ones playing, reading, talking. They formed a cluster and immense happiness hit their faces.
“Brother El!” One shouted. “Eden told us your name, and we already thought you wouldn’t come see us anymore!” She whined.
“Have y’all been good?” El Crow asked with a slanted expression.
“Yes!!!” They chorused.
“We eat the number of times we want everyday!” One said.
“We bath so many times one day too!’ another echoed.
“We change clothes so many times and get dental and derma care too!”
They all bowed at the same time.
“Thank you for saving us!!” They chorused cheerfully.
“You’re like Rudolph the reindeer now,” Skylar teased beside him.
“Shut up,” he muttered.
She laughed into his arm as they left the hall together.
Eden isn’t there, so they proceeded to her room and didn’t even knock before entering.
They met her changing her pad, unexpectedly.
The little girl quickly rushed to the room corner where she squatted and hid her face in her knees.
Skylar signaled at El Crow, and he rushed out of the room.
Skylar looked at the soaked pad on the floor, then the new one in bed.
She took the blanket and walked to the girl, covering her protectively.
She squatted in front of her.
“Hey, little runaway…”
“I didn’t mean to keep it from you.” Eden sniffled, still not looking up. “But I didn’t want it to look like I liked brother only because of my gain.”
“How old are you really?” Skylar asked gently.
Eden looked up, face teary. “I’m ten. I’ve been trapped in this small body since I began talking in Master’s cell.”
“I started menstruating when I was ten too,” Skylar said. “I was locked in Satan’s secret room then. It’s normal for Apex females to develop fast.”
“Really?” Eden hiccuped.
“Yeah…” Skylar wiped her tears.
“I often listened to the nurses education section to teenagers, so I knew how to fix a pad and i just helped myself when I saw it.”
“You did well,” Skylar smiled.
“You’re smiling.” Eden looked at her surprisingly. “It’s the first time I’d be seeing your smile, and it’s so pretty. You’re wearing the nose ring I gifted you on your birthday too.”
“I think I’ll smile often from now on.” Skylar smiled again.
“Is it because of Brother?” Eden blinked. “Have you both stopped fighting each other?”
“Let’s get you cleaned up first.” Skylar helped her up quickly.
Eden picked up the wet pad and wrapped it up for disposal.
She wore the new one comfortably in front of Skylar without getting shy, then she dressed up too.
“You need deodorants very much at this stage. I’ll get them for you,” Skylar mentioned.
“Thank you, Sister.” Eden smiled deeply, holding her hand.
Skylar’s eyes caught a little paper on the bed, and she picked it up curiously. It’s a little note.
• Tell Skylar that El Crow is a path to tears and nothing but tears.
“Who gave you this?” Skylar faced the little girl.
“I found it on the floor on my way to breakfast this morning, and I’ve been wondering what it meant,” Eden said with a little frown.
Skylar looked at the note again, then she tore it to bits.
“It means nothing.”
Eden nodded, and El Crow came inside eventually.
“I need an explanation.” He breathed.
“This little runaway here has been trapped in this body. She’s a ten year old for real,” Skylar explained.
El Crow looked at Eden, and her face went down immediately.
“I didn’t mean to hide it from you,”
He took her from Skylar, giving her a reassuring nod. “You need my blood weekly to get to your real size.”
Eden blinked.
“You’ll have the blood,” El Crow promised, and the girl hugged him.
Skylar didn’t even try before she let a smile form on her face again.

[Seaside Club – 7PM]
The grounds were shaking. The waters were thudding. The music was pulsing and effortlessly injecting itself into the bloodstream of everyone as neon lights cast a kaleidoscope of colours everywhere.
It’s the same club El Crow and Skylar danced at on her birthday. They checked the map of this city for the best club, and it was part of the top ten, so they choose it.
Skylar wore a very short slutty red dress. Not much ceremony, it’s just a casual club dress she picked from a store’s hanger at dusk, but her heels had stones which blinked with the neons as she walked in with him.
She had dyed her hair blonde just for tonight, and he matched her by dying his hair deep black too.
As they entered the club, they each picked bottles of alcohol by the entrance stand. The goal is to get drunk tonight anyways.
They popped into the club and Skylar immediately detached herself from him, mixing with the little crowd.
El Crow stood by the wall of a corner, but the lights reached his face over there as he sipped from his alcohol moderately. It’s his first time taking alcohol, and he’s managing it. He doesn’t want to get drunk fast.
The next time Skylar appeared, she appeared from the other side of the bead curtains in the club.
He saw her through the tiny holes in the curtain, and he lifted himself from the wall he rested on.
She became the focus, and as Devil Eyes (Golden) by Hippie Sabotage blasted the speakers.
Two eye contacts from her, and she’d away aside, bunch her hair up in her palms and throw her head back.
Two more eye contacts, and she’d move her waist like she was missioned to collect his soul.
Another two eye contacts, and she’d move across the curtain holes, swaying her hair around.
She looked like the happiest girl alive right now, and his hands throbbed with the need to blind everyone watching her in this club too right now, and that was when he noticed no one is watching her with him.
He used his mind control on everybody else, and they just went about their club activities without looking at their side at all.
His eyes glowed, not because he’s using his powers, but because of the happy girl in front of him, giving her best dance for the night.
At the edges, his eyes darkened. At the balls, they brightened. At the whites, obsession with a dash of something more dangerous glinted like sparks of electrics.
His jaws gritted, and when she made the fifty eye contact across the curtain, he downed the last drop of alcohol in his bottle.
He nearly crossed over to her, but he was blocked by someone who’s just entering the club.
“Bellatrix?” He sounded.
“I’ve been so drunk since i came here. I was already thinking of sleeping in some veranda, but now that you’re here, you can take me home.” She spread her arms taking him in a hug.
“What are you doing here?” He asked before pulling her away.
She hugged him again, but he roughly yanked her.
“I don’t want to hurt you, but I’ll do if you touch me again.”
Bellatrix began crying, but that was when El Crow noticed Skylar walking out of the club already.
He followed after her, catching up by the door right behind.
“Skylaar!”
“I thought you were with your wife…” She snapped, pacing.
“The fûck?” He pulled her.
She broke free, furious.
“She hugged you! You took a second before you yanked her off!”
“What are you saying? Of course I was shocked!” He argued.
She pointed a finger at his face, short for words. “You know what? Whatever!” She rushed out.
“I don’t wanna fight you again, Skylaar! We’ve been having a really, really good day. Don’t ruin—”
She did worse by walking to a random guy. She hugged him from behind and walked off.
“The fûck!! Skylaar!!!!!!” He yelled, taking the guy by the neck.
He offed his head away from his neck, and when he threw the head down, everybody in that area flew.
By now, Skylar was already out of that area, so he shut his eyes and found her. He rushed out of the area too, two steps at a time.
—
Skylar regretted immediately she left the area. She knew she overreacted, but can she be blamed when she can’t even control her doings?
She snapped the moment she saw Bellatrix hugging him earlier, and she lost her reasoning compass.
Now, she’s walking down the road pavement alone, steps sharp.
She shouldn’t feel that way when she saw another girl hugging a enemy. She shouldn’t hug another guy from the back just to revenge.
But is it really her fault if that same enemy held the key to the happiness she has been feeling since daybreak?
She quickened her walk, and her phone buzzed in her hand.
It’s a text…from him.
• I swear to hell tonight, Falena. If I get my hands on you, you’ll hate me again. I’ll fix that attitude of yours on any available surface. Forget window.
She rolled her eyes, and her legs wobbled. That was when she realized she’s half-drunk, but she kept walking on that pavement.
Meanwhile, a car is coming upfront. Five different cars, actually.
At a glance, they look like a convoy cos four black jaguars were following a huge Range Rover behind.
The convoy was so smooth, following unknown protocol and taking every inch of the road with caution as if they carried an egg inside.
“I still don’t understand why you changed your mind, Your Highness,” a voice said inside the Rover. “You were supposed to come on Friday.”
“Svetlana hung up on me, so I wanted to surprise her with my earlier arrival,” the royalty-rubbed voice replied sleekly from the backseat.
Just when they curved the intersection, Skylar appeared on that road, nearly getting hit cos of her drunkenness, but she was smart enough to jump aside even in her drunk state. She frowned.
The five cars stopped, and she was already walking away when one of the black jaguars opened. A low-cut royal staff in blue suit stepped down, walked to the Rover and opened it.
The occupant stepped out in a ethereal green dress which had rare gems set on it from the beginning to the end. It glowed so hard Skylar had to cover her face with her palm.
But through the space between her fingers, she was still able to stare at the face and try to figure out who.
Apart from the insanely gemmed dress, the person wore a royal cap too, and that was just enough.
“Princess Charlotte?” Skylar sounded.
The Princess smiled richly. “Sorry my cars nearly knocked you. Are you ok though? You look…..
She stopped talking at this point, cos her eyes caught Skylar’s chest.
Unknown to Skylar, the neckline of her top already left some of her cleavage out, and right now, her red fox birthmark glared.
Princess Charlotte shifted back, terror and horror and fear registering in her eyes.
It was so instant, so fast, so unhidden.
Her heels nearly twisted.
“The dead Princess Avantika?” She muttered, voice feverish.
